"How did your parents get you guys from Russia to here?" Graham asked.
"That we are not too sure on, I know my mother and father both slit their hands with the pack knife. Then gave it one of the guardians. They used what was called moon magic. But I do not know what it is." Dominic said.
"Wow, we will have to see if our elders know what moon magic is. I have not heard of it," said Elliot. He loved all wolf history that he could find.
"I think we need to stop now. We have been talking for four hours, and it is about lunchtime; if you want, I can call down and have something brought up for us, or we can go down and eat with the pack. I will leave it up to you," Maxwell told the others.
"I think that would be great. If we have it brought up, we can eat and continue talking." Elliot said. The others agreed. Maxwell then called down to his mate and asked her to have some food brought up. While they waited for the food to come up, Dominic and Ezekiel were talking to each other.
"Lilly will be safe here. I think that with our training and experience, we should be able to help her become the Queen she was meant to be." Dominic told Ezekiel.
"I agree, Dom; if we start now, we could have her trained with all the customs and traditions. So when she is eighteen, she will be able to take back the kingdom." Ezekiel said, agreeing with Dominic.
"Why does she need to be taught all that stuff if it will make her a target? I would not want my daughter to become a target," Maxwell asked. There was a knock on the door, and the food was brought in. The smell of roasted garlic chicken, ham, scalloped potatoes, and glazed carrots filled the air. Water and soda were obtained in the room, as well as two apples crisp for them. As the men took their food and started to eat, Dominic began to explain, "My sister is the next Queen. She needs to know the ways of the past and our customs and traditions. It will help her lead our people. They need a strong leader, which would have been our mother, but she is dead. So we have to teach her what our mother would have. I do have a question, why do you call your mate Luna Maxwell? We do not have this in our home."
"Well, we believe that the Moon Goddess has given each of us a mate who is our other half. Alpha is the leader of our pack, and they can normally lead for some time without their mate, but the longer an alpha of a pack goes without his mate, the weaker he can become over time and cruel and heartless. But if he finds his mate, she makes him stronger, kinder a better leader to his people. She becomes the heart of the pack they look to." Maxwell explains.
"So you would be the King, and your Luna is the Queen of your pack and only your pack, yes?" Isaiah asks. Maxwell looks at him, thinking about what he had said.
"I do believe you are right. We have set up our pack the way the Royal family had but never knew. Hahaha…" Maxwell started to laugh. The others looked at him, not finding the humor in it. "You do not see the humor in this. All our packs here in the United States have set up our pack the same way, but we call them different things. We may have lost the old ways of our ancestors, but we still respect the Royal family," Maxwell explained to the group.
"I guess I can see the humor in it," Dominic said. They continued eating and talking about the packs' differences and similarities and pack life in different countries.
"I do have a question about Lilly; how is it that she has shifted at such a young age when our pups do not shift until they are 17 years old," Maxwell asked.
"Well, that is an easy question to answer. Lilly can shift at such a young age because she is a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess, and I would not be surprised if, now that we are here if your younger pack members start shifting. It will be because of the link to her and the Moon Goddess, "Isaiah said.
"That makes more sense. I did not realize that you were a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess." Ryder said.
"Well, my sister is. While we share the same parents, if my mother had not my sister, the royal line would die out. It is carried through the female line. While my brother and I have power and gifts given to us by the Moon Goddess, it is my sister who will be the strongest wolf of all wolves, which is why her life is so important to be saved at all cost." Dominic replied.
"One last question from me: how did you heal Bryce so well? For most of us, it would take us days, and this is even if we could." Ryder asked.
"That is easy to answer. Since we are direct descendants of the Moon Goddess, we are gifted with healing others. Our mother taught us to use our powers to help others." Ezekiel stated.
"Oh, man, this has been a long day. We should go check on our sister." Dominic said to the others.
"Thank you for sharing your story and answering our questions," Maxwell told the four of them.
"Please keep it to yourselves; we do not want the rest of the pack to know what we have shared with you. We need to keep our sister safe. The fewer people that know who she is, the better." Dominic asks Maxwell.
"What is said in this room will be kept here. Now let us go get some dinner." Maxwell said, standing up stretching as they all head to the door.
