The New Way of Life

It has been a couple of days since we talked with the Alpha, and life has been getting better for us. We have started training the pack with the Commander of Training Graham. They are good, but with our training, they will be better. We are working with Graham and the Alpha to start implementing a new training regiment with the warriors to protect Lilly better. 

In the training fields, Dominic and Elijah talked to each other, as Ezekiel and Isaiah walked up with Lilly following. “Hey Dom, we are going to take Lilly into the forest and start her training,” Ezekiel tells his brother and Elijah. “Okay, we will stay here and start training the pack,” Dominic replies.  

 So for the next 10 years, they live peacefully with the Blue Moon Pack. Teaching the pack how to fight as an Alpha while working together as a team. Alpha Maxwell notices that more and more pups are starting to shift younger and younger. The families of the pups are confused and frightened about what will happen to their children. Maxwell and Ryder ask Dominic and Ezikeil about why. They inform him that because they are near Lilly and them, and it will cause their wolves to come sooner. They should also start training as soon as they shift. Alpha Maxwell agrees and starts training the young pups. 

Things are going well for the pack, and they become the strongest in Colorado and then in Central America. Alpha Maxwell knew that it would be better to have allegiance with the East and West Coast packs' strongest. That is what he did. The West coast pack was called the Crescent Moon Pack, and the East Coast was called the Rising Sun Pack. The three packs have been working together to build a strong system supporting the younger and weaker packs from attacks. Simultaneously, Alpha Maxwell had noticed that his pack has been getting attacked by rogues and other fourteen packs more often. On the day of Lilly’s 12th birthday, the pack was suddenly attacked by rouges. It was the most violent attack that Alpha Maxwell had seen in fifteen years. So he calls a meeting to discuss the aftermath.

“What is the status of the pack Ryder,” Maxwell asked as he was walking to the pack hospital?

“Well, as of right now, only two deaths and 10 seriously injured and 26 injured, but they should recover in the next couple of days. Dominic and Ezikel are healing the seriously injured. Then will move on to the injured people. But I can tell they are getting tired. They were fighting alongside us as Izaiah was standing guard of Lilly and the others,” Bryce informed him as they entered the pack hospital, which was a huge mess. The doctors and nurses are running around tending to the most injured. Pack members were sitting bleeding, and some laying looking like they were dying. In the trauma rooms, Dominic and Ezekiel were using their healing abilities to treat the seriously injured members in hopes that they did not die from blood loss.

“Okay, after they get done….” Maxwell was interrupted.

“Um… can I help?” Lilly asked Maxwell. “I can help my brothers heal. I am good at it.”

“I think you are still young to be exposed to what your brothers are doing,” Maxwell tells Lilly. 

“Well, Alpha Maxwell, I was just nice by asking; I am going to help them. I can. This is my pack too. I want to help,” Lilly tells him. As Maxwell well stands there, he is in shock at what she is telling him. 

“Um… you should ask the guardians or your brothers to see if they need your help,” Maxwell says.

“You and I both know that they will tell me they do not need my help even if they do. All they do is tell me what I can and cannot do. They have planned my whole life, and I only get to live it as they see fit. So I am going to go and help them,” Lilly tells him as she walks into the room where her brothers were.

“She is going to be troubled when she gets older if they do not back off of her,” Maxwell tells Ryder.

“What do you mean, Alpha?” Ryder asks Maxwell. 

“Well, I have watched how they treat her, they want to protect her and keep her safe, but they do not allow her any freedom. When in training, they keep her away from others and will not allow her to mingle with other people her own age. They barely let her talk with my own children,” Maxwell explains to Ryder. “I feel that one day it will be too much for her. I fear that the men think that they are going back to Russia when she finds her mate, and things will go back to the ways they once were. I do not see this going well.” 

“I have not really seen her without someone with her, and they do not let her really talk with anyone. How is she to become a queen if she is never allowed to talk with anyone?” Ryder asked.

“I do not know; I think I should speak with them about this,” Maxwell tells Ryder.

While Maxwell and Ryder check on others, Lilly walks into the room, where she sees one of her older brothers looking very tired. 

“I can help you, Dom.” She tells Dominic. He looks up to her with wide eyes and a shocked expression.

“What are you doing here? DID I NOT TELL YOU TO STAY IN THE PACK HOUSE WITH THE OTHERS!” Dominic yells at her. She looks at him and tells him, “Yes, you did, but I can feel you and Ekie are drained. Please let me help. I can do it. Let me!” she pleads with him. 

“No, I do not need you here. I know how to take care of myself, Lilly. You go back to your room! NOW!” He Yells. She stands there with tears in her eyes and says, “Why are you so mean to me, Dominic? I just want you to help you and Ezekiel.” Dominic looks at her, and his eyes soften, “I know, I am sorry Lilly, I am just tired. I did not mean to yell at you. Yes, please help me.” She smiles at him and raises her hand, she closes her eyes, and he feels the magic flow from her to him and the body. He watches as the wounds that Darrel received heal up quickly and he is feeling refreshed. Lilly opens her eyes and looks down at her work and back up to her brother. Dominic stands up and walks over to her and hugs her, and tells her, “Thanks, I really needed that. Again I am sorry. Let us go check on Ezekiel and help the rest of the pack.”

“Okay, thanks for letting me help,” Lilly tells Dominic. Then they proceed to help the rest of the pack members that need healing. When Lilly walked into the room where Ezekiel was, she saw that he was lying on the bed of the person he helped pass out. “DOMINIC!” Lilly screamed. “Something is wrong with Ezekiel.” Dominic comes running into the room and sees that she uses her magic to see what is wrong with him. “What is wrong with him, Lilly?” Dominic asks as Alpha Maxwell, Ryder and the doctors come running in. “He is fine, just exhausted and drained from helping. I can help him,” Lilly tells them. “If he is tired, he should just rest and sleep.” Doc. Matthews said. He is an older man in his late 50’s, not very tall, he has a kind disposition, with blue eyes graying black hair. He always wears a white doctor's coat over his button-down shirts and slacks. “Well, Doc. I can help him. Dominic, can I?” Lilly asks her brother hopefully. “I don’t think you should, but if you feel up to it, you can, but you will go back to your room and rest for the rest of the day,” Dominic said. “Okay, I can do that,” Lilly tells him as she walks over to her brother, who looks like he had not slept in over a week. She looked at the person he had been helping and saw that he was not fully healed while he was alive. She raises her hands and closes her eyes as she allows the tingling sensation of the magic to flow through her and directs it to her hands. She then directed it to the man lying on the bed to finish healing him. She visualizes the wounds he had sustained and started to use magic to fill the damaged areas to heal and stop the bleeding. In her mind, she follows the path of damage and heals the man lying on the bed. When he is healed, she looks at her brother and allows the magic to flow over him and sees that he is tired; healing him will take a lot more from her since he was already passed out. But she let the energy flow from her to him, knowing that he needs it more than her.  She lifts the tiredness from his body and fills him with the healing light of the moon. The others stand back and watch in awe at the young girl. All they see is light leaving her as it went into healing the man and her brother. When she was done, she turned around and looked at the others and said to them, “ Everyone has been healed; I will do as Dominic asks of me and go back to my room till dinner.” Then she leaves to go to her room for some much-needed rest.
