New Begginings

There was an uproar with everyone telling me not to go. But I simply put my hand up and everyone stops.

“I am not just going to leave here and go there. For one, that would be foolish. Two, we need more people to fight them.” I told them. They all looked relieved, especially the women. Tarrance stepped forward, “Lilly, I do not mean to be forward, but most of the pack does not want him as Alpha. I was his best friend and I do not know what happened to him to make him like this. I think if you took away his title and position, most of the pack would rejoice.” He explained it to me.

“Okay, would you want to go back and be Alpha? Since you were the Bata, I would let you take over the Pack.” I informed him.

“No, Lilly, I do not want the pack that killed my mate and child. I will follow you and protect you.” He tells me. I look at the women and ask them the same question if they want to go back. They told me that it would be very painful.

“So now we must begin to train you all to fight and be the best at fighting you can be,” I told them. “Bryce and I will work with you to get you in the best physical and mental shape you can be. Your old Alpha will try to use it against you.”

“I can also help you. I trained many at the place when I worked for your mother and father. I was not the Commander of Training but I was third in command. So I know how to teach.” Mikhail tells me.

“Good, then you will be my Commander of Training. You will help us to be great fighters.” I told him. Which gets me thinking that I may need to form a new pack with them since I left mine. I will ask Bryce about it later.

Three weeks had gone by with lots of training and I realized that Emma, Tarrance, Isabella, and Amelia could not shift. I was walking by Mikhail while he was training them and he wanted them to shift so they could train in wolf form and they couldn’t. He waved me over to them. As I walked up I see Emma crying. “What is wrong?” I asked.

“I can not shift. I have not been able to shift since I had my son.” she is sobbing to me. “That is weird, you are not an omega. I can feel your wolf. I can see if I can link her.” I told her. I tried to link her and saw that I could not. This worries me because I know I can speak to all the wolves. So I started to look at the barrier between the wolf and the person. I see that there is a mind lock and the wolf has been locked away. I had not seen this before. So I called Bryce over to see if he had. “Bryce, have you ever seen a mind lock on a wolf before?”

“No, but I bet your brothers or guardians would know. They will know a lot and should be here to help you.” Bryce tells me.

“I know I will link Isha now,” I tell him. “Isha I have a question for you?”

“Yes Lilly,” he responded cautiously to me.

“ What do you know about mind locks? And if one is placed how do I undo it?” I asked him.

“When are you going to come back? Your mate is wanting you, and we are searching for you.” Isha informed me with little emotion. But I know better. “I will come back when I am ready. How does the mind lock work?” I told him. He sighs and I can hear him opening some books and flipping pages.

“Mindlocks are old. I have not seen anyone use them ever. But it is something that a royal descendant can do. So you should be able to release it. Unless it was done by a witch, then the witch would have to undo it.” he tells me as he is flipping through an old book. “Ah.. here it is.

A mind lock is performed when a wolf is deemed too dangerous. It is done so one is separated from the wolf counterpart, so they can not access their wolf abilities or shift. It needs to be confirmed by the Royal family that, in fact, a wolf is a danger not only to the wolf community but to the human community as well. Once it is done, it is not to be undone, but can be. If the Royal family is not available to make the final judgment, then the highest-ranking person from the pack can make the judgment but will need 3 other equals to confirm it. If confirmed, it is documented and is done by someone that can use elements of mind to lock it.

“How is a mindlock placed on and how is it removed?” I asked.

“Let me read some more, I do not think your mother ever used this, but I was also very young when we lived in the palace. Okay, here it is,

As the royal member of the court, you will take the wolf in question and force shift to see the wolf, if the wolf is in fact rabid, the Queen will focus her mind on the wolf and force them to shift back to human while imposing a physical barrier around the wolf and they shift back. Once the wolf is now human the Queen will look into the mind of the human and create a mental barrier to keep the human from communicating with the wolf and vice versa. If the Queen is unable to do this, the highest-ranking wolf with the element of mind control can do the same. But if done by the queen it is permanent, if done by a high-ranking individual it can be undone.

To undo a mind lock the wolf in question must be part of the pack or is becoming a pack member. Then the highest-ranking person in the pack that has the mind control elemental can in fact release the wolf by holding the person's head in their hands and looking deep within their eyes, they are looking for the veil between them and their wolf. You are to release your mind into thiers to find the barrier. Once you find it you will use your mind to break through the barrier to release the wolf. It will cause the human to shift into the wolf and you will be able to fully release the wolf at that point.

"Can I ask you why you are asking these questions? Iahs asked.

“I have found some wolfs that have a mind lock and want to release them, they are not rabid, or harmful. If someone had placed this on an innocent person; what would have been the punishment? I asked Isha.

“I would assume death because the Queen would never impose such a punishment without cause, but I do believe that there are some Alphs that would if they have the ability to,” Isha tells me. “ I have one more question before you cut this off and block me what information can I tell your mate if he does ask me about you?”

I think about how my brothers are and how they have treated our pack and others about me, “ Isha I order you to tell him any and all information about me. It is not that I do not want him, I need this Isha, I need to find me and who I am not just who you want me to be. I will come back.”

“Okay, I will, Do I need to start to call you My Queen now?” Isha asks with a smile.

“No, you can still call me Lilly, Isha,” I tell him. I cut off the mindlink and block him. I think a lot about what I was told. I then realize that I need to create my own pack so I can help the people that want to follow me. I go up to Bryce with a question that has been burning in my mind.

“Bryce, how do I start a pack?” I ask him. Bryce looked at me shocked.

“Why do you want to know that for?” he asks me.

“I have been thinking if I am to be Queen I want the people I trust and want to follow me to be part of my pack. Also if I am to re-establish the Monarchy I will need certain things, that make sense for the power that we will possess. Even you will change the longer you serve me. You will become my Second or Beta. I like the old terms for us. The rest of the Packs can keep the Alph and Luna and all the different ranks that they have.” I explain to him.

“That makes sense, but I do not know how to do it. You might want to ask Maxwell about how to do that since he is an Alpha and all he will know.” Bryce tells me.
