The Hunted

Chapter four

The loss of his touch and the rejection in his eye felt like a knife to Lilly's chest. She took in a shaky breath and the other twin walked forward.

"Hey Lilly, it is nice to finally meet you in person. I almst thought you would change your mind at the last minute. I'm Shane Claxton." Shane said extending his hand in a formal hand shake. "That grump you just met is my twin brother Sebatian. Don't worry, I doubt you will see much of him while you are here. Oh, and this is my older brother Sean." He finished. His older brother had come closer and extended his hand as well.

After another shakey breath Lilly smiled. "It is nice to finally meet you in person too, Shane. This is my best friend and partner is crime Misty." She said gesturing to Misty beside her, while actively ignoring the door Sebatian had just entered.

"It is nice to meet you both and by the way your brother is just plain rude." Misty stated while shaking both of their hands in turn. Lilly bumped her shoulder and wispered "Be nice,Misty."

"Calling him rude was the nicest I can be." She wispered back.

"Would the two of you like to come inside? I'm sure after such a long flight you would like to see your rooms." Shane said pointing towards the house.

"I got that right." Misty said stepping forward to follow them into the house.

Lilly's phone began to ring loudly. She pulled it from her pocket to see "Nissa" flash across the screen. Oh Crap was all she thought.

"That's my sister calling, I need to take this." She said not looking up as she answered the phone.

"Hello"

"Lilly, are you okay?" Nissa sounded worried. "I had a feeling something was wrong. I came by your apartment but you aren't here."

"Yeah Misty and I decided to go on a road trip. You know to get away for a few days." Lilly lied.

"Are you sure you are ok? I had that feeling, something was wrong, It was like you were in trouble." Nissa prompts.

"Yes, Nissa, I'm fine. Misty just isn't the best driver in the world." Lilly lied again.

"Hey" Misty yelly from beside Lilly. She looked up a Misty pleading with her eyes fot Misty to go along with the lie or Nissa would come looking for her.

Nissa sighed on the other end of the phone. "As long as you are ok." She said. "But check in with me once a day. Don't make me come find you. You know I will." And Lilly knew she would too and that would not be good.

"I'm fine and I promise to call you once a day." Lilly smiled "I love you Nissy" Lilly said using her pet name for her older sister.

"I love you too lilbear" Nissa said and hung up the phone.
