Friday morning the girls made their way through the airport. The flight was no problem, well except nerves. The closer the plane came to Mississippi the more Lilly felt the pit in her stomach grow. She kept telling herself she was just nervous. As the plane touched down, Lilly had just about convinced herself to turn around and go right back home. She couldn't stand or move from the fear coursing through her.
"Are you okay?" Misty asked, quietly taking her hand.
"What if this is a huge mistake?" Lilly wispered.
"Then at least you were brave enough to make it on your own." Misty replied, squeezing the hand she was holding.
"I should have told my sister, at least then someone would know where we are." Lilly sighed.
"We are going to be fine. Now come on, your man is waiting for you." Misty replied, pulling her to her feet and exiting the plane by her side.
At the baggage claim a man stood holding a sign with the words Lilly Eidikos and Friend witten in permant marker. Lilly made her way over to the nicely dressed man. He was tall and muscular with sandy brown hair and brown eyes. He had a trace of stubble along his straight jaw. This was not the man in the picture Shane had sent to her. Hopefully he is the driver and not a kidnapper, Lilly thought to herself.
"Hi, I'm Lilly and this is my friend Misty. I think you are here for us." Lilly said more confident than she felt.
"Hello Ms. Edikos, my name is Devon, Mr. Claxton has sent me to collect you." The man replied, "This way please." He finished. He then grabbed the bags both girls were holding, picking them up and carrying them with ease. The bags were heavy, but not to this guy. The feeling in the pit of Lilly's stomach started to come back again and for a moment she just stood there and the man walked away.
"I love a strong man." Misty wispered, not so quietly beside her. She then grabbed Lilly's hand and tugged her to follow the man. Lilly's feet followed but the pit was still there.
