Brianna quietly opened the gate, worried that Hailey might hear it and stop her from leaving again. She quickly turned her head towards the main door, scared that her cousin could catch her.
She placed a hand on her chest and let out a sigh of relief once she finally made it out of the gate.
As she scanned the empty streets, she frowned when she noticed a man on a motorcycle a few blocks away, staring at her. She wasn't sure if he was really looking at her since his dark helmet hid his face, but the way he straightened up and turned his head towards her made her feel like he was.
