My father finally agreed and after some negation on how it was going to work, he finally agreed. It was only going to be me, Dad, and Eli in the room and if, at any point, my father thought something was going wrong, he was going to pull me out.
Or at least we hoped him pulling me away from Chase’s body would work.

“Are you sure you want to do this?”
“Yes, Echo, without a doubt.”

I carefully crawled into bed with Chase.
“I love you.” I whispered in his ear as I kissed his cheek and placed my head on his chest. I wrapped my arms around him and, just like Kingston, I put my leg over his.
I focused on his beautiful face as Echo took over and I could feel my energy, but it wasn’t going anywhere. After a few minutes, Echo stopped.

“I’m sorry Lillian, it’s not working.”
“We can’t just give up.”
“He isn’t your twin. You don’t have that kind of a bond.”
“But we have a mate bond.”
“It’s just not the same…it’s a different kind of love.”
“I have an idea.”

I shifted off of Chase and pushed him up enough to remove his hospital gown, leaving him naked as I pulled the covers over him.
“Dad and Eli would you both turn around for a minute please.” I said as I slipped out of bed.
I quickly stripped down and, since all I had grabbed after the shift was jeans in a shirt, I was left completely naked also.
I gently got under the covers with Chase and wrapped myself around him again.
“You can turn around again.”

“Echo, try it again.”
“Lillian, this still might not work.”
“Try again.”
“ok.”

Again, I let Echo have complete control and felt my energy and it wasn’t going anywhere. Just as I was about to lose hope, I felt my energy leave my body. It wasn’t the same as it was with Kingston.
The feeling wasn’t painful, but it wasn’t pleasant either. But that didn’t matter. Chase was all that mattered. This time I felt exhausted almost immediately. I was fighting to stay awake but it didn’t seem to matter.

“Echo, I can’t stay awake.”
“I need a little more time.”

Alpha Jayson’s POV
I watched as my princes again had a golden glow around her and the glow seemed to be absorbed by Chase.
My heart was beating out of my chest and my wolf did not like it one bit.
But after a few minutes the glow just stopped and Lillian was softly sleeping on Chase.
“Is that it?” Eli asked, looking at me.
“I don’t know. I mean, when she helped King it was longer, but it wasn’t as bright.”
“That was the craziest thing I have ever seen.”
“So with King we allowed her to sleep next to him. But it was her brother and she had on clothes. I feel like we should move her.”
“Maybe, but what if that is part of the healing?”
“If it was your daughter naked would you leave her?”
“If it meant saving her mate…Yes. I don’t know what I would do if I lost Laney.”
I ran my fingers through my hair. I didn’t like the idea, but he was right. If I did something to affect her saving Chase she would never forgive me.
I would never forgive me.
“Fine, but let’s put an extra blanket on them at least.”

Two day! Two days since my princess has been asleep. Both of the boys were still asleep but Doctor Myers said they were looking great.
He also didn’t know why Lillian hadn’t woken up yet. We did move her to another bed but kept her in the same room as Chase. We knew she would want to be close to him.

“Yes Eli.”
“Chase is awake.”
“Oh, that is amazing news. I am already on my way. I wanted to check on Lillian.”

“Do not get out of that bed young man.” I entered the room, only to find Chase trying to get out of bed and Eli not having it.
“Dad, I'm fine, I feel fine. I need to get too Lillian.”
“Eli let him. We would be the same way.” I said, stepping in to help Chase.”
