PRELUDE
What’s more painful and infuriating than having your freedom—and your life—snatched away, locked away like an old painting meant to never be found again?
You think losing Wi-Fi is painful? You think burning your hand on a stove is painful? I’ll prove you wrong, because my once peaceful, happy life was destroyed in seconds… by THEM....

Chapter 1 - Fallen And Captured
Screams, Cries, Wails, Sword Clashing echoed in my kingdom as I barked out orders to my warriors.
We fought non stop, I joined in with every ounce of my strength.... but it wasn't enough. We were losing. They weren't humans like us, they wore metal helmets on, eyes glowing like a red candles in the dark of night.
I turned around and my heart stopped. One of my people stood motionless, eyes wide, mouth hanging open in horror as I looked at the person- no.... creature holding her neck, with it's fangs sinking deep into her veins as she cried out, her face turning paler and paler.
Her cry pierced the night while he crushed her body against his, groping her cruelly as he drained the life out of her.
She dropped to the ground with a sickening thud that made my stomach churn.
"Miriam!"
I screamed, running towards her as the head of my warriors, Kian, grabbed my waist soothing me.
"Your highness. I'm sorry for your loss, but we don't have time to mourn over her. We have to take our people to a safer place or.... we all die."
I cleaned away my angry tears as my warriors fought fiercely against the creatures but still were losing, I gathered and helped my people cross the bridge separating the forest from my kingdom.
They disappeared into the forest one by one, whiles my warriors fought and felm behind us. Together we helped all my injured warriors to cross the bridge to the forest.
As we evacuated everyone, the bloody creatures gnawed on my warriors as they fought back.
And then I remembered—the necklace. The last gift from my parents before they were gone. Priceless, irreplaceable.
Against Kian’s shouts, I turned back. My kingdom was burning, collapsing around me. I tore through my chamber, ignoring the explosions, until my fingers closed around the glittering diamond chain.
I stumbled outside. Kian was still fighting, but the ground was littered with the lifeless bodies of my warriors—drained, pale, empty. My blood ran cold
Kian caught my arm to run, but my grip slipped. The necklace tumbled from my fingers—I flung it toward him—
And then the pain hit.
A blade drove straight through me. My scream split the night.
"No! Morgana!" Kian roared.
I saw the creatures rapidly running towards the bridge as I screamed to Kian with barely consciousness.
"Go Kian! Push the bridge off! Save my people! Protect them with your life Kian!"
"No your highness! I can't leave you-"
I screamed back angry.
"Go! Now!"
His eyes shone with grief as he bowed one last time and then charged towards the bridge. With every ounce of his strength, he pushed it off.
I felt the knife twist deeper as I went numb, and then I heard it - a voice like ice against my ear, whisper coldly in my ear.
"Morgana...."
