After taking a cab to the tall skyscaroer with a big logo of The Jones Corporation olivia and Brie got off the cab and olivia paid the fare while Brie admired the huge building in front of her.
"wowwwww,such a gigantic building",Brie said in awe.
"i know right",olivia said dreamily
"i heard that their CEO is an handsome bachelor"
"huh i didn't know",Brie said confused
olivia face palmed,"how did you become the secretary without knowing his name".
Brie smiled sheepishly,"that's me"
"let's go in",Olivia said shaking her head with a smile tugging at her lips.
Upon getting to the entrance,their staff ID was scanned and they entered,they stopped at the receptionist who was furiously typing away.
"hello,ms...Johanna",Brie said looking at her ID which was pinned on her pink blouse.
Ms johanna looked up at them with a professional look.
"how can i help you"
"ummm we are the ones who got the position of secretary and the position at the human resource department",Olivia said politely.
Ms johanna's expression changed into slight annoyance.
"you're five minutes late"
"we are sorry",Brie mumbled
Ms johanna sighed,"take the elevator at the left its for staffs whike the one at right is for Mr Jones and his secretary so whoever is the new secretary should go he's furious as it is,good luck".
Ms johanna mumbled the last part with pity,olivia looked at brie.
"will you be okay",she asks worried.
"yes,i am a fighter olivia byeee",they hugged as they got to the elevators.
"it's not like we wouldn't meet again",olivia chuckled.
"that's true,but i gotta go now see you later",they waved and entered their respective elevators.
BRIE's POV
I am panicking,on my first day i am late to work,and hearing that the boss is furious just worsened my nerves.
"ding",the stupid elevator chimed in mock to my panic.I step out and look around the floor in awe its like stepping into a private sanctuary for the elites.
The executive floor stretched out ina stunning palette of deep emerald green,matte black and warm champagne oak.I shake my head and headed towards the door with the name tag in bold letters"ALBERT JONES".
I force the tremors down my body and knock gently on the door to be greeted by this cold,deep yet melodic voice,"come in".
"No,brie get yourself together",i mumbled and entered coming face-to-face with the most handsome man I've ever met,his biceps bulging through his expensive grey suit with his black wavy silky hair that i want to touch..."no not now",i told myself as his cold blue eyes locked with my brown eyes,i froze mesmerised by his cold eyes that seems to be dragging me in...i subconsciously slapped myself as he tilted his head"
"You're late Ms...",he told his head looking at me from his elegant desk devorated with files and his position tag sitting boldly there"THE CEO".
"Janeson",i said gently,taking in the opulent and elegant office all in black and grey.
"Ms Janeson you're late that too on your first day"
"am sorry sir",i said quietly looking at him in awe as he leaned back against his swivelling chair.
"Am i interesting",he asked and the foolish me nodded.
"yes and handsome too even with cold eyes that could be colder than glaciers",i look at him and i saw amusement in his eyes,i look at him.
"its the truth,i am not lying",i said almost pouting and he laughed with his deep voice,he looked so handsome and god-like.
"you're an interesting person,the first person ever to tell me the truth directly to my face without being scared,okay listen up I'll forgive your late coming today alright",he said with a slight smirk.
"thank you sir",i smile cutely.
"besides my talent is keeping people entertained".
He looked at me with curiosity and pressed the call button,"Jonathan come show my new secretary to her office".
Within few minutes,a soft knock was heard and a tall yet handsome man in his mid twenties with his glasses and blonde hair and grey eyes,looked at me softly,but he had softer voice than Mr Jones.
"come Ms Janeson"
"okay thank you Mr jonathan",i followed him out.
