Doctor Annabelle

"Merry Christmas, Anna" George's voice cheered on the phone "Merry Christmas, George. What do you want?" Annabelle asked trying to sound polite in that rude sentence. Was there a "You remember how you got Everyone Christmas presents except for me?" It's because I don't like you "Yes, it was only 2 days ago" she was frustrated. Why was a grown ass man calling her at night bothering her about a present "You told the family that you will make it up for me. I need you to do me a favor" she could hear him scratching his ugly sweaty beard How unsanitary "What is it?" She really did not want to know but her grandmother would have her head if she was impolite to their precious family friend "I need you to be my daughter's psychiatrist" "I don't work in that department anymore George. Goodnight" "Its a favor. She recently tried to commit suicide and attacked her mother in less that a week. Please you are the best that i can trust, please" "I can not help you" She hung up on him feeling a headache coming up Suicide Mental disorders were cruel She buried those thoughts at the back of her head and enjoyed her hot chocolate watching the dark moon. She was obsessed with it. Her phone disturbed her peace again and this time it was her grandmother. She reluctantly answered "You missy, i did not raise you to treat family like that...what type of....." She moved her phone away from her ear. Her grandmother was screaming her ear off. She waited till she was done screaming but this time put the phone on speaker for caution "Annabelle I raised you better than that. You refused to help family?" She coughed but you could hear the dissapointment in her voice "Grandma I'm sorry. Its just that I'm not in that department anymore." Dr Annabelle tried to reason "Oh yes, you are now all superior and better than everyone else. I thought you studied psychology to help people not sit in some fancy chair giving orders. Goodnight" She hated it when she made her grandmother upset. The woman raised her and loved her in every possible way she could. She took the role of her mother and father too. And she started the job wanting nothing than to help those fighting with something they can't see, fighting with their mind which they can not control But a lot changed. It came at the expense of her own sanity. She easily got attached with patients and losing a patient is painful. She had not only lost one but three in the past year. She did not want to go through it again Anything to make her grandmother happy of course but this was bad. If the girl ended up dead, the family would blame her. At least you tried. The girl wants someone to try on her. Knowing if she heard his annoying voice she would back out, she quickly send a text to George One hour session everyday at 1pm Just great, she was giving up her lunch hour **********
