I've just finished my grade 12 and I passed well ,turned down my enemies by doing good on my results because they always thought I'm those "slow person" if they say . parents are happy,many people are talking about being " umahlalela" ,well I didn't think I would be one of the too bad I can't even afford an applying fee that means I'll join them . I'm woken up by mom shouting she's always shouting these days " sphe don't you know amihle has to go to school ubusy ubunyelele embhedeni ilokho nje okwaziyo ukudla nokulala ontanga bakho bayasebenza ngaphandle !!" yep I have to take my sisters child to school and bathe her everyday but it still 06:00am. Days are passing by things are now turning into bad for me cz I now sometimes run out of toiletries and no one's willing to help I'm talking about my family, mom's now always complaining about me staying at home . I'm just in my room listening to music while trying to apply ,but no luck I now take it as a game " here you said you don't have pads go and buy them and buy us drink it hot can't you hear it? Of course how you gonna hear the hottnes because you always here destroying my bed go now , Don't forget to fetch amihle at school on the change of your sanitary buy her ice " bang! That the door she's out I get up and leave go to shop and come back to cooking and prepare dinner . Sthandile: chommie how are you Me: I'm good friend you Sthandile: I'm good how's life ,I miss you and your craziness 😉 Me: everything is good I miss you too we'll see each other don't worry ,you remember our promise right. Sthandile is a good friend of mine since high school but she left after matric and went back to her family in Durban 3 months later Hours tuned to days ,days to weeks ,weeks to months, I'm in the kitchen cleaning mom enter, " sphe can you come here so we can talk " I drop everything and join her Masbisi : sphe Sphe: mah Masbisi: how long are you willing to sith at home cause you can see we full in the house there's no space you event don't have things to bath I now take care of you .Your sisters are busy outside they working and bringing me money ,what about you Sphe: mom I'm applying but there's no luck so what will be the use of going but bring nothing to you Masbisi: I don't know sphe and I don't care ,oh I almost fogort your brother is bringing his child so he'll be using your room you see why I say you useless Sphe :mom how can you say that I'll try harder but don't say I'm useless Sibisi: sphe it for the best ubonwe ilanga ngaphandle ndodakazi Sphe : baba ngizoyaphi ngoba nosisi abangisizi 💔 Sibisi:you don't have enough time now my girl you should go just be like other children . I stood up went to my room cried till I fell asleep, crying won't help I have to leave ,I pack my bags and ask sthandile if I can visit her while I'm still looking my friend agreed just like that. Night arrived I couldn't sleep thinking of how things have turned to be. I was woken up by alarm got up and bathed amihle as usual took her to school came and bathed took my bags and went to mom and dad Sphe: mama I'm now leaving Mom: bye sphe Sibisi: goodbye ndodakazi behave yourself don't forget why you left he gave me money and said " umphako wakhoke lowo mom just did her eyes like🙄🙄 I left goodbye home . I took taxi to Richards bay I watched the home mountain getting lost little by little I fell asleep luckily I was at the back we arrived my friend was waiting for me she came and gave long hug , which made my emotions rise I felt tears in my eyes Sthandile: don't worry everything shall be good 👍 😊, and the great news is that ni now stay alone I know you scared of my parents we will be living together it good house just little 4 room fully furnished Sthandile: I know that look you now want to sleep go to second room that your room we'll eat when you wake up .I left and thought of my life ,I'm not hungry we ate at mall I fell to lalaland .woke up it was 4pm searched for my phone no missed cal no message from my parents what were I expecting they chased me out in their house🙄💔 I just slept looking at the ceiling my friend house is beautiful and peaceful,I scrolled on f*******: then headed my novel they make me cool down once I'm done I go to dining room find note ," went to look for something we could eat I'll be back soon 😘" I was just chilling reading as usual when door got opened it sthandile with so much plastics , she's an exegarating person I know her ,we eat watch movies and bond chat about old things.we separate to sleep.days pass by I must stand up now and apply I went to the shops applying but no luck I'm just tired , "this is the last one then I go back at the house" .I get in this fancy restaurants and I'm already doupting myself I ask for manager it comes a tall lady who's wearing suit she looks me in up and down and take my CV and leave ,they when I knew that my que to leave , oh I just remembered I have to apply at college or varsity. Got in the house my friend is always happy Sthandile: how did it go Sphe : just as always I'm tired friend,I drink water and sit on the couch found myself sleeping then I'm woken up by a call " sphesishle sibisi hello" "Hi we would like to inform you about the interview at the restaurant which will be at 09:00am , please bring all your documents and wear fomal thank you have a great day miss " I couldn't scream I just froze luckily it was on loudspeaker stha heard everything she jumped and hugged me I couldn't believe it .
