Hendrix's eyes gazed into the distance, his voice low and introspective. They had been in the garden for a long time now without noticing it. "Claire, I want to tell you a story. A story about my childhood, about how I became the person I am today." Claire's eyes locked onto his, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm listening, Hendrix." Hendrix's smile was melancholic. "I grew up feeling suffocated, Claire. My parents were always pushing me to be someone I wasn't. They wanted me to be a carbon copy of my father, but I couldn't do it. I was different, and that difference made me feel like an outcast." Claire's heart went out to him. "Oh, Hendrix, I'm so sorry. That must have been so hard for you." Hendrix's eyes dropped, his voice cracking. "It was, Claire. It was hell. And that's when I started acting out. I started partying, sleeping around, trying to fill the void inside me. But it never worked. I was still empty, still lost." Claire's hand reached out, her fingers brushing against his. "And that's when people started calling you a playboy?" Hendrix nodded, his eyes welling up with tears. "Yeah. They thought I was this carefree, shallow person, but the truth is, I was dying inside. I was desperate for love, for connection, but I didn't know how to find it." Claire's voice was full of compassion. "Oh, Hendrix, I had no idea. I thought you were just a spoiled rich kid, but... but you're so much more than that." Hendrix's face contorted in pain. "I know, Claire. I know I've made mistakes, but I'm trying to change. I'm trying to be a better person, for myself and for you." Claire's heart skipped a beat. "For me?" Hendrix's eyes locked onto hers, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, Claire. For you. Because I think... I think I might fall in love with you." Claire's breath caught in her throat. "Hendrix, I... I feel the same way." As they sat there, surrounded by the beauty of nature, their hearts finally opened up to each other. They realized that they were both broken souls, searching for love and connection in a world that often seemed too cruel. And in that moment, they knew that they had found something special, something worth fighting for. ******* On the eve of the wedding, Jenny arrives at Claire's family house, her car crunching up the gravel driveway. She had promised Claire she would come over to help with any last-minute preparations and to spend some quality time together before the big day. As she stepped out of the car, the warm evening sun cast a golden glow over the house and gardens, filling Jenny with a sense of excitement and joy. She knew that this was a momentous occasion, not just for Claire and Hendrix, but for their friendship as well. With a bouquet of flowers in hand and a smile on her face, Jenny made her way to the front door, eager to share in the happiness and chaos of the wedding preparations. Jenny entered Claire's room, a look of surprise on her face. "Claire, I can't believe it! You're actually going through with the wedding!" Claire smiled, a radiant glow on her face. "I know, Jenny. I know it's a shock. But something changed. Hendrix and I had a conversation, and it completely turned things around for us." Jenny's eyes widened. "What happened? Tell me everything!" Claire laughed. "Well, we finally talked about our pasts, our fears, our dreams... and it was like a weight lifted off our shoulders. We realized we're not so different after all." Jenny's face lit up. "That's amazing! I'm so happy for you, Claire. You deserve it." Claire's eyes sparkled. "Thanks, Jenny. And I have to say, I'm actually excited about the wedding now. I feel like I'm marrying a completely different person." Jenny grinned mischievously. "Well, I'm glad I get to be a part of it. Let's take one last look at that stunning wedding dress of yours... and mine, of course!" Claire chuckled. "Of course, chief bridesmaid! Let's do it!" As they admired the dresses, Jenny turned serious for a moment. "Claire, I have to ask... are you sure you're ready for this? Marriage is a big step." Claire's expression turned thoughtful. "I was scared, Jenny. But Hendrix and I... we're in this together now. And I feel like we can face anything as long as we have each other." Jenny's face softened. "That's beautiful, Claire. I'm honored to stand by your side on your big day." As they hugged, Claire knew that she had found not only a husband but also a true friend in Hendrix, and a loyal companion in Jenny. The wedding was just the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, and she couldn't wait to see what the future held. Meanwhile, Helena had not given up on her love for Hendrix. She still believes that Hendrix can fall in love with her and marry her. She therefore couldn't allow the wedding to, be held. Knowing she had to act fast enough, she decided to contact someone who could do the job. She contacts Draco, a popular underworld crime Lord. They decided to meet at a secluded restaurant where no one could recognize them. “Draco, I need your help with a delicate matter” Helena said, leaning in, her voice low and urgent. “What kind of matter, Helena?” Draco said, raising an eyebrow. “Hendrix is getting married tomorrow, and I need you to... take care of the bride” Helena said her eyes locked on his “So you want me to kidnap Claire?” “Yes” she Helena said “I'll pay you handsomely, of course” “I'm not interested in your money, Helena. But I do have a proposal for you”. Draco said leaning back in his chair “What kind of proposal?” She asked curiously. “I'll take care of Claire” he said, smirking, “but only if you agree to work for me. You see, I have a... fascination with the Hendrix family's business dealings. And I think you could be very... useful to me”. “Fine. Deal” Helena said. “Excellent”. Draco said, smiling, he pulled out a phone and dialed a number. “My team will take care of Claire tomorrow. And Helena?” He said, his eyes glinted. “Don't try to double-cross me. I always get what I want” “I understand”. She said, swallowing hard. As they parted ways, Helena couldn't shake the feeling that she had just made a deal with the devil himself. But she was willing to do whatever it took to stop the wedding and win Hendrix's heart. Little did she know, Draco had his own agenda, and Claire's k********g was just the beginning… After leaving Helena, Draco made his way through the winding streets of the city, his mind racing with the details of their plan. He eventually arrived at a nondescript building, its entrance guarded by two imposing figures. Draco nodded to them, and they stepped aside, allowing him to pass. Inside, he was greeted by a dimly lit hallway, the air thick with the scent of smoke and power. He followed the hallway, his footsteps echoing off the walls, until he reached a heavy wooden door. A single knock, and the door creaked open, revealing a room shrouded in shadows. A figure emerged from the darkness, its features slowly coming into focus. Draco's boss, a man of immense power and influence, regarded him with a calculating gaze. "Ah, Draco," he said, his voice low and menacing. "It seems you've made progress with Helena." Draco bowed his head, a gesture of respect. "Yes, sir. She's willing to do whatever it takes to stop the wedding." His boss's voice was low and menacing. "Excellent. And what did you propose to her?" Draco smirked. "I offered her a deal, sir. She works for us, and we take care of Claire." His boss laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Oh, Helena. She has no idea what she's getting herself into. But that's what makes her so useful to us." Draco nodded, his eyes gleaming with understanding. "Yes, sir. She's desperate and blinded by her love for Hendrix. She'll do our bidding without question." His boss leaned forward, his eyes glinting in the dim light. "And what about Hendrix? Do you think he suspects anything?" Draco shook his head. "No, sir. He's too caught up in his own world. He has no idea what's coming for him." His boss smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "Good. Let's keep it that way. Draco, you've done well. Continue to play on Helena's weaknesses, and soon we'll have Hendrix right where we want him." Draco bowed his head again, his voice dripping with obsequiousness. "Thank you, sir. I won't disappoint you.”
