A light flashed and then faded, repeating in a constant annoying rhythm. The car swayed as a rush of wind came then stilled until the next heave. The sudden silence and the annoying pattern were what brought my eyes opening suddenly. At first, I was confused whether my eyes were open or shut. As I blinked rapidly, I realized they were open, I just couldn’t see. I feared myself blind as I tried to look around myself and felt something hard beneath my head and something warm and flat against my cheek. But then the pattern came again and lit up the car, it was then I realized the car was parked alongside of the road and the constant pattern were headlights.
