My eyes opened. There was no sense of reviving or waking from the deep sleep I was in. It was a familiar feeling as I sat up sharply and looked around myself, mixed between horror and relief. Where am I? How did I get here? And why do I still have my memory? I racked my trembling hands through my hair, startled to find them pink and swollen to their standard size. I felt my stomach, but I couldn’t feel my ribs, only a rounded bump between my plump breasts and my hipbones. I touched my shoulders, but I couldn’t feel the sharp bones protruding.
