Michele's right eyebrow rose as he heard Kath's determined, powerful, and confident voice accepting to give him a child. Without changing that serious expression, Michele tilted his head slightly, placing both hands on the edge of the desk.
Michele hadn't called Kath that week, hadn't shown any interest or given any sign that he wanted to see her. Nevertheless, he had his men following her steps, informing him of every detail of what she did day by day, and right after she expressed that she wanted to see him, he canceled his subsequent meetings to avoid being interrupted.
