The Enemy Of My Enemy Is My Friend

After school Jayce and I were about to start walking home together when I heard a shout from behind me I knew it was my best friend Mia. “Hey!” says Mia running over to us “I'm sorry I didn't eat lunch with you I wa-” she stops mid sentence and see’s Jayce was there. “Is he walking with us?” asks Mia. Mia is a pretty straight forward person if you ask me. And she is also Anna's cousin so I couldn’t think of a better way to piss her off. I could tell she and Jayce where going to be good friends. “Yea, he is and before you say it no we are not together.” I say. “Are you sure about that kitten?” replies Jayce as he laces fingers with mine. I start blushing uncontrollably and he lets go of my hand laughing to himself. “I'm just messing with you. Let's head home before you start blushing again.” I have never been more embarrassed in my life. Mia, Jayce, and I arrived home around 2. My parents work schedules are always all over the place but they told me that they wouldn't get home till 11 tonight, so Jayce and Mia can stay as long as they want. As we walked up to my house Mia gave me her bag and told me “I'll be back I have to go feed Maggie and ranch (Her pets).¨ she walked off down the road towards her house as we walked in. Jayce and I then walk into my house and he stops to admire the view. “Pretty cool huh?” I say. My dog Boxie starts barking at Jayce but one look from me and he goes into my parents room. Jayce smiles and stares at me for a bit. I got lost in thought for a moment admiring him. I see him lick his bottom lip and before I realize it he starts walking closer, I start to tense up as I could feel is fingers touch my arm. I start backing up slowly until i feel the wall against my back. His arm pressed against the wall as he leaned in next to my ear whispering “If you want me to stop move away”. I wanted to move but I couldn’t. I wanted to see where this would go, but my body was frozen and my heart raced. He leaned in to where his lips were an inch away from mine. The door opened as Mia was standing there in shock. Me and Jayce quickly moved away from each other. “Oh sorry! Did I interrupt something?” she asks. “No! Not at all. I just had something in my eye and Jayce was helping me. Right?” I say looking at him “Of course” he says a bit hurt. The only reason I didn’t say anything was because I didn’t want Mia to get any ideas, but the the way she was looking at us I think she already had some.
