The New Guy

Me and “the new guy” have been looking at each other for awhile. People can clearly tell and I start hearing whispers. I look away and hope he moves to a seat. The teacher moves him to the desk right next to me “Just my luck”. I hear “the new guy” chuckle as if he heard what I said. “Hey! My name is Ryker.” says the guy holding out his hand. I reach for it and reply with “Clare.”He has a strong British accent and looks cute. He is the complete opposite of Jayce. He has dirty blonde hair styled to the side with big round glasses. He looks like the hot nerd every girl wishes she had in her life. “You look like you have something on your mind.” he says looking right at me. “Yeah I do but i don’t really want to talk about it. Especially not with you.” he reaches for his heart and pretends to be hurt. “That was really rude. But the best person you can tell is me since i can’t really do anything against you.” He has a point there… “My boyfriend...well actually i don’t know what he is to me anymore. But he cheated on me and now i don’t know what to do. And it’s going to be really hard to avoid him since he lives next door to me and we have a class together.” "Well if you want I can help you. I'm a master at revenge." I could see an evil smile appear on his lips "If I were to say yes, which is highly unlikely, how would we do this?" "Easy," he states, "I pretend to be your boyfriend." I like where this is going.

Me and Ryker walk in to lunch together and I can see Jayce staring at me. It takes everything I have for me not to go over to him. I still haven't decided if I want to kiss and make up or smack him for days till he is a f*****g mess. I walk over to an empty table and start talking about the plan. "So what i'm thinking is something simple you know. You pick me up in the morning, sit with me at lunch, and drop me off home. Easy as that." "I wouldn't even believe we are "dating". We need to do more stuff couples do like hold hands, kiss, go out on dates. Other than that we would just be close friends." He had a point there but I don't feel comfortable doing anything that would hurt Jayce's feelings. Then again I do want to get on his nerves so....."You don't have to do anyth-" before he finishes his sentence I crash my lips onto his. I hear a loud slam and move away. It was Jayce. I knew that it would get on his nerves but I didn't think he would get that mad. I go to run after him but I feel a hand grab onto my wrist. "Don't do it. It would only give him the satisfaction of knowing how strong of a hold he has on you." He had a point there. I listen and sit back down. A couple of minutes pass and I see Jayce come back in. This time he heads right for Anna. I can tell they are flirting and every moment that goes by makes me want to rip off her damn head and put it on a stick as if it's on display for those who want to mess with me. Then I feel it.....The sharp pain. I can maintain it better now but it still hurts like hell. Ryker notices and helps me out of the room. I hear him mumbling but i'm in too much pain to understand it. I already know by now whats happening. Jayce is kissing Anna. I see Ryker trying to talk to me but it's all in batches. "You.......Help.......Hybrid...."
