Meeting New Friends

Victor looked at the girl Franco had just walked in with. She was an angel, he thought. He registered that the group had walked in, but all he saw was this long dark Auburn hair being blown back when she entered and the fan hit her just right. She was laughing at something the older guy said. She stood over everyone and had to be 5 ft 10. As she moved closer, he could see her hazel eyes with flecks of blue in them. He had to shake his head to clear his tunnel vision. Franco introduced each in turn and went to grab another table to pull them together so the group could fit. Charles was staring at the one called Rebecca. " I am sorry but you look familiar. I know this is crazy since you just got here." Rebecca also had the same ice-blue eyes and black hair as Charles. It was as if they were related. " I do not think so," Charles explained. He was adopted and found in the northern part of the woods. Rebecca's eyes widened. " How old were you?" Charles said," Maybe 2 or 3. I am about to be 18, we believe. Not exactly sure the date of my birth since I was abandoned by my parents." The rest of the group sat quietly listening. " I was 12, traveling with my parents and baby brother when I was told to run by my parents. I took my brother and ran for a few hours. The rogues were still after us. I saw lights at a short distance and told my brother they were fairy lights to follow them. He laughed and ran off towards them. I stood my ground and was found." Petra's eyes teared up. It looked like she had reunited the siblings and it made her heart swell. Rebecca continued," Do you have a birthmark on your right wrist?" Charles showed what looked like a scar, he never knew how he got it. Looked like a feather. Victor looked at his friend, his emotions and those around him were overwhelming. Victor had to say something to calm himself. " Charles was taken in by Luna Bell's sister. I am sure she would love to talk to you about your brother. And then we can fill in the rest of his lineage for the pack." Franco mind linked his parents. " You will never believe this but Rebecca, the girl that came with Petra, is Charles' sister. They were separated all those years ago." He heard his father say, "The Goddess works in mysterious ways." and Bell said" Oh, I will let Melony know. Let us know when you are heading back, so we can let them talk." He closed the link with his parents in time to hear a startling revelation. Rebecca continued. " Your birthday is tomorrow and you are only half human. Our mother was a Phoenix." All eyes went wide, and some gasps were heard from those nearby. Phoenix's were almost extinct. Only a few hundred were still around. " What does that mean for me?" asked Charles. Sillas spoke up then." Charles, you and your sister are rare, and your phoenix will rise tomorrow at midnight. We need to go and talk to Alpha and Luna now about this." Then he looked at Rebecca. " When was your transformation? I do not recall it at the Pit. And it is something I would have remembered." She sighed," I have not transformed though she is still inside. She did not want to reveal herself there. I believe she would like to join our brother in his. It would be a night for both of us to bond as siblings". As the eldest of the group, Sillas took charge of the safety of the group. "Let's head back to the pack house now. We have a lot to discuss with your parents, Franco." A revelation indeed! Franco let his parents know he was on the way back. Charles and Rebecca sat in the back of Victor's car catching up with each other. Victor drove following Franco. He would have to call his mother when he got to the pack house. Tonight's party was turning out to be more of a celebration. His mind drifted back to meeting the new group of friends. There was something familiar about the man Sillas, but he knew he had never met him before either. He pushed it out of his mind. Charles spoke up." Man, can you believe this? I find my long-lost sister, I graduate from high school, and find out I am a freaking Phoenix all in half a day." Victor laughed at his best friend," I have told you that you were meant to go places. I just didn't know you were going to set the world on fire. Could be literally." They all laughed. They pulled up to the Packhouse. Victor noticed his mother's jeep and Charles's parents' car was there too. Getting out, Victor told Sillas and Rebecca that both the boys' parents were there. Sillas said," I look forward to meeting your mother and father, Victor." Victor told him," Oh, it will be my grandparents and my Mom. She raised me alone. I do not know my father. He was not in the picture. But that is a story for another time." They all walked into the house, as Sillas walked in he was hit by a very familiar scent. It was not strong, but it still lingered in the air. " Mate! She is here!" They all looked at him as he sniffed the air. He looked at them. " I lost her a long time ago. We were separated, and I never knew what happened to her or where she went. She was just being traded back to her pack for their prisoners of war." Everyone looked at him with sympathy in their eyes. Petra spoke up. "If she is here we will find her. I am so sorry for what my father put you through." Victor looked at her. She explained," I am not Franco's cousin. I am Petra Gax, Alpha of the Delta Pack." Victor's eyes widened and thought to himself," Could Sillas be my father?"
