Days Events

It seemed as if the whole territory was rushing around on the last day of school. The seniors only had a half day to go, and it was just for the diploma ceremony. Most of the families that would be attending that day's BBQs were scattered among the 150-acre Dradges Pack land and were excitedly passing time until the time came to meet in the area of the event center. This year was so special that not only was it graduation for the seniors, but at least five of their pack members would be 18 tonight. And one special guest was also joining them for their birthday passage. At Darcy's home, Victor just left to go pick up a last-minute gift for his mom. Though it has not been a normal thing, for the last six years, on his birthday he gave her a gift as well. A thank you of sorts for being the best mother he could have and what better day for that than the day he was born and looked into his mother's eyes for the first time? Darcy called out to her mother, Valory," Mom, did you get the ice made up and in the freezer, so we do not have to worry about drinks later?" Valory smirked," You know that is part of the caterer's job, right? But yes, the big chest freezer has four bags I made up in case they needed it. They did decide to hire a caterer, since every time Valory came home for the last two months there was a request to attend the party to show support for the teenagers that were having their combined party. It was Victor's idea since one of his friends was an orphan and human at that. He had no family to celebrate with. Darcy remembered the day that Victor had asked if his friend Charles could come over. They were in 5th grade and Victor stopped one of the werewolf children from picking and bullying Charles. He was human and had been found as a toddler on pack land to the north. Unfortunately, no one wanted to sponsor a human child, so he went to the orphanage. Then, later that day, Luna Bell found out and visited the orphanage. Her sister Meloney had just lost their child at birth. Bell thought it was a sign from the moon goddess. This child looked so much like her sister. He had black hair and ice-blue eyes. For a human, that was so unusual. No one would have thought twice he was not hers biologically. Charles was brought to Melony and her heart melted and bonded at first sight. The day for Victor went by pretty quickly. Charles and he would be going right to Victor's house after school. Charles's mother and his father, Damon, would meet them there. " Man, you are so lucky you got a car for your birthday. I got stocks in some company to secure my future: from my parents. I guess Aunt Bell and Uncle Derek want to talk to me before the ceremony tonight," Said Charles as they walked out of the auditorium with their diplomas in hand. Victor just laughed " You never know what the rest of the night holds for you buddy. We are having two parties in one night. How many people can say that?" He stopped to call his mother," Hey Charles and I are going to run into town for a little bit before heading over. Do you need me to get anything?" She said no, so off they went into his SUV to the local coffee shop where many of the graduates were meeting before dealing with their families. Petra's surprise After what seemed like an eternity, they had arrived at the Dradges Pack House at 8 in the morning. The house was already alive and people were buzzing around. It did remind her of worker bees around a hive. Luna met her at the door. " Welcome Alpha Petra, I am so glad to meet you." Petra nodded and introduced the others. Bell had a few Omega's waiting, and they showed Sillas and Rebecca (the female prisoner) to their rooms as Petra walked with Bell. " So can we cut out the formality?" Asked Petra. " I am not one for all that pomp and circumstance. I would rather be direct and down to earth. We are both just people at the end of the day." Bell gave her a big smile. " Of course, I have to say it will be refreshing. We are often that way here as well. Most of the packs are on a first-name basis with us. They only call us by our titles if they are visiting guests, and most that have known us for a long time are also informal here as well. I will link Derek, and he can let the pack know if you would like. It would put everyone more at ease." Petra smiled back at this woman who was so kind and smiled as she nodded. The morning was a whirlwind. Derek joined Bell and Petra soon afterward. The couple quickly came to regard the young Alpha as an extended part of their family. She was strong and independent for such a young woman. Nothing at all like her father. Bell spoke up as her son Franco came into the room. He was getting ready to go to town to meet with Victor and the others at the local coffee shop. It was tradition for seniors to gather there, and the owner would have a contest to name the newest brew after some of the graduates attending. " Franco, why don't you bring Petra with you? I am sure she would love to be around others her own age. Forget the title and go be a normal teenager for a bit. OK? No one knows who you are. Franco can say you are a cousin come in for the ceremony." Petra smiled. " I should ask if Sillas and Rebbeca want to go since they need to incorporate themselves into a normal life." It was agreed, so Franco personally went to invite them. So the four of them headed into town. Sillas felt like the chaperon since Rebecca even looked around 20. She was taken before she was 12 as a prisoner and stayed there for 10 years. They walked into the shop and Franco waved to some friends. They decided to push two tables together.
