Training

1193 Words
Beta and Alpha started the same night with Victor's training. Also, his Grandfather decided to slowly unbind his one power to help manipulate others' will. The gift was so powerful that when he was a child they wondered how it would progress if they did a complete unbinding so close to his 18th birthday. Alpha Derek and Vik had already consulted with a mighty seer when he found out about Victor's power when he was a child. The seer told the men that, since his lineage from his mother's side was almost pure blood, Fae and Witch the boy could develop some gifts never seen before and, with the proper training, could one day become a King among all immortals. She also warned that the father's lineage could turn him dark if he were a vampire. The two men had already sent word to the seer about the news of his father being a werewolf. She was coming in that night to meet the boy in person with someone who could help with his training. After a grueling two hours of history and details of what was expected of a Beta, Victor thanked Beta Tom and went back into the dining hall where his family gathered with the Alpha and Luna and the other high-ranking officers of his pack. In all, there were twelve people seated around the table talking comfortably about the future of the pack. They would have an early dinner before the rest of the pack came in to eat later that evening. They discussed the route they would take in training Victor, and the Alpha spoke up then about the other visitors they would be housing for the graduation ceremony. " I know many of you heard the rumors that Alpha Petra Gax is now in charge of the Delta Pack. She is nothing like her father and is turning 18 on the same day as our children. As a peace treaty has been established with her and our pack, she is a welcome guest. When she arrives tomorrow morning she will have two prisoners that have been kept all this time and would like us to give them a place among our pack if they so wish." Explained the Alpha to the group. Victor could feel his mother's anxiety and hope coming in waves. She looked at him and smiled. Alpha Derek continued." Now I know some of you may have reservations about bringing two new people into our territory, especially since they have been held captive all this time. The pack's doctor has been informed of the situation and will give them a look over before anyone sees them and decide if they need counseling and medical attention. They will have time to heal and make a decision for themselves." There were questions and answers for the next hour and plans made for the upcoming guests, and the ceremonies. After everyone else left Darcy and the Luna Bell went to the library as the men and boys went out to go for a run. Since Victor did not have a wolf yet he sat with his mother and her best friend. No formality was needed between them and Bell looked at Darcy. " I hope you can find out about Sillas while Petra is here. Who knows she may have some clue as to what happened to him." Darcy nodded and smiled at both her son and Bell," I would like to know, and then maybe there could be a chance that my son could meet his father finally and I get to see my mate again." Sillas's news Sillas looked around his new room. It was a far cry from the cell at the Pit. He loved having his private bathroom again. The other girl from the cells was just down the hall. They passed on the way to the kitchen where they were accompanied by an Omega each. Sitting at the small island in the kitchen, he looked at her and asked," How long have you been here?" She looked at him and said "10 years since my pack and its land were burnt to the ground. You?" He replied," 15 years, give or take, I have lost track." They sat and ate the lunch brought to them by the Omegas assigned to them. The Cook Gretchen was a marvel at Southern Comfort Foods. She made fried chicken, cornbread, and hush puppies as well as corn on the cob. Even a Dutch apple pie was put in front of them. At least they had not starved in the Pit, or it would not have been easy for them to stomach this much food. He had been out of the Pit for a week now and had gotten word to his pack about his whereabouts. Under the guise, his mother's family, who died in the attack where he was taken, was from there. In the letter, he told his Father and Beta (though he did not call them by name, just their titles) that they would be attending a ceremony at the Dradges Pack in Oregon. He was safe and was offered to join that pack, but awaited the word from The Alpha of the Frost Pack. The reply just came that morning. The day before, they were heading out to the other pack. *I will be attending along with my Beta as well said ceremony. I look forward to meeting you there. I do remember your mother. She was a friend while I was in school. We can discuss and make arrangements then.--Alpha Greg Marsten (on missions Sillas used his mother's maiden name) of the Frost Pack.* Sillas looked at the letter again. I can not wait to see my father and friends again. Whenever Sillas did see Alpha Petra she was usually off and running on some business. He was impressed by how she handled herself being a young woman on her own and taking on her Alpha position in the pack. She trained with the warriors and went out to fight the rogues that always seemed to attack along the borders. Sillas asked if he could start joining the training on the second day of his freedom and she agreed. He remembered many of the rogues were wolves that were very loyal to her father and did not believe she should have taken over the pack. He thought to himself that once it was all over, and he had a chance to talk to his father personally, he wanted to see if they could help make an alliance with her and help her get rid of these rogues. He was lost in his thoughts as the Omega Hildie knocked on the door. " Sillas, we will be leaving at 5 pm tonight after an early dinner for the Dradges Pack. It is about a 6-hour drive. There will be a stopover for the night. Please finish packing and I will have someone bring your bags down to the car when you are done." Sillas nodded and thanked her. He did not have much to pack his belongings fit into a medium-sized duffle bag.
