My Destiny

Samuel grew up an orphan because both his parents and his older sister died in an accident when he was young. Along with Samuel in that accident, he and his family were going on vacation to the province to their grandmother Donya Vicenta who was his father's mother. Unfortunately, while they were travelling towards their destination, a big truck suddenly hit them behind them, killing his parents and his older sister. Of the four people in their car, only Samuel survived. The driver of the said truck is currently in jail. Donya Vicenta is Samuel's grandmother, a person of God, she believes that what is destined to happen in every human life is meant to happen whether it hurts or not it should be accepted. Donya Vicenta has left the investigation of that incident to the police, whoever is found guilty will be imprisoned. Samuel grew up to be a good boy, but despite his goodness, it cannot be denied that he still harbours anger towards the person who collided with them and who was the cause of the death of his parents and sibling. Tanya grew up with her three younger siblings. Tanya is the eldest of four siblings, despite being a sister, she has been the parent of her three siblings since their mother died of an illness when their youngest sibling was a baby and their father was imprisoned for a crime which he did not intend to happen. Aling Meding is a caring and good neighbour of Tanya who has been helping them since childhood and has also been Tanya's go-to person for all her grievances in life. She considers Aling Meding as a part of their family. On the other hand, Tanya continued to study while helping to sell at Aling Meding’s fish store in the market and while taking care of her siblings. But when she finished high school, she didn't go on to college, she decided to focus on earning a living and taking care of her three younger siblings. Tanya owes a lot to Aling Meding because she helped Tanya despite the trials they faced as siblings.
