Chapter Two

692 Words
*Elias* Stepping out of the car, I hold a hand out to my little sister. “Always the gentleman,” Camille giggles, as she uses it to get up from inside the car. “Of course, my princess”, I dramatically drawl and bow to her, to which she replies by rolling her eyes and gives me a little shove. Walking side by side, we entered the castle. I have always been thankful to have her and be as close as we are, especially as royals. A lot of royal siblings are distant, mainly because of succession feuds. I’m glad that it isn't like that between the two of us. Before splitting off to go to our Dorms, I gave her a hug, “Talk to you later Cami.” “Latter bro,” she hugs back and walks up the stairs in the direction of her dorm. Looking at my watch, I see that it was pretty early and I mentally cheer at that. It may seem like a small thing but, the earlier you are, the more likely that you have first pick of a bed and this year was my year. I quickly made it to my dorm, where my bags were already waiting and, as I suspected, I was the first one to arrive. Once settled, it doesn't take long for the others to arrive. My Beta in training, Lucus, and some witch prince named Adrian. Though we’ve shared the same dorm for six years now, we haven’t really talked that much with him. He goes to classes and does school work and not much other than that. Honestly, he’s almost like a robot. Today, though, there was something off. His scent was mixed with a slight smell that I couldn't quite place but it was making my wolf, Jasper, stir. Deciding not to think much about it, I mean hey, I'm not just gonna go up and ask him, Hey you smell kinda off. Can I sniff you to see what it is? That would not be cool, and I can almost imagine his reaction. I mean, I know I wouldn't be okay with that if someone did that to me. Ding. My phone goes off, signaling that I've received an email. After looking, I see it was from the school and opened it up to see it was my schedule. Apparently, I failed history last year and need to retake it with the sophomores this term. Wonderful. After texting my sister, I found out that not only did I fail my history class last year but that my sister was ahead of me and taking the history above me this year. I had hoped that maybe we would share it together at the very least, but instead I'd be sharing it with two of her dormmates. At least it's not Clara as she has a habit of following me around whenever she has the chance, which is a lot more than what I'm comfortable with being completely honest. During Camille’s birthday ball back in May, it was absolute torture. I couldn't shake her for the life of me and didn't get to spend any time with my sister because I was trying to avoid her crazy friend the entire time. I only hope that she finds her mate soon, and hopefully before I find mine. I don’t want any misunderstandings between me and my mate simply because she can’t control herself. Damn right. My wolf, Jasper growls. She’s gotten out of hand. I know Jas, but what am I supposed to do? She's one of my sister's best friends. Tell her to f**k off, mate might get the wrong idea. You say as if we’ve found her already. She's close, I feel her wolf. Jasper says happily. I widened my eyes in surprise. Not only was she close, but she was also a wolf as well. I would be happy if she wasn't, but every wolf knows that being able to run with your mate is something special. I smile to myself and drift to sleep thinking about what my mate could possibly look like.
