END GAME
Ross and Drake had spent over an hour in a fairly fruitless interrogation of Darren Blake. Both of them knew they had very little substantial evidence with which to charge the man who sat, almost impassively opposite them. Blake simply sat there, stubbornly denying any connection with the murders of either the jurors from his father’s trial, or those of Angela Ryan and Clive Evans. He denied ever having met or known Ryan and though he admitted knowing Evans, who he referred to as Evandon, he categorically denied having obtained information from him, much less killing him.
