ARREST
As the others prepared for the apprehension of Darren Blake, DC Ishaan Singh arrived at the newsagents’ shop run by Clive Evans’ girlfriend, Kelly Weeks. Entering the shop, and being greeted by the grieving woman, Singh felt a little apprehensive, not having been faced with a similar scenario in the past.
After expressing his sympathy at her loss, he explained that he was looking for anything to confirm the identity of the body found in the car.
“So, are you saying there’s a chance it wasn’t Clive, that it might be someone else?” she asked with what he knew to be hopeless optimism.
“I’m sorry Miss Weeks, it’s virtually 100% certain the body is that of Clive. It’s just that, because the body was so damaged by the fire, the Medical Examiner wants to make sure that ther
