Chapter 25Janet lay in bed thinking about Nate, imagining for the hundredth time what he must have gone through in Iraq. She couldn't say she was disappointed he'd hid under his fallen friends, but she knew it had come at a terrible price. She wanted to pay that debt for him, take it all away, but she couldn't and she knew it. All she could do was love him, be patient (not one of her stronger suits) and support him in his long arduous road back to the young man he'd left behind six years ago.
