Chapter 29Janet pulled up in front of Kyle's house in the south side of Portland and parked. It had been a long time since there was a wedding in the Porter clan, let alone two in the same year–a mere three months apart, no less. The next hundred plus days were going to be a blur helping Megan keep her head on straight with all the details surrounding not only her son's wedding but also her own. Today was Kyle and Debbie's wedding shower and as she and Megan rode up to Portland, she couldn't help but think of her late husband, Neil. He was such a family oriented man. She got out of her car and collected her gifts from the trunk for the kids: a set of Egyptian cotton linens and a duvet along with a gift card for MacKenzie-Childs with a substantial credit balance.
