At last she decided, if she studies her bachelor's degree, she will study only in a government college. Sradha was not much weak in studies. In fact she scored 1012 marks out of 1200 in her higher secondary education without any tuition. Even though, she hadn't got an admission in any government colleges for degree. For a general category student, it was not easy to secure a seat with this much mark. She may get seats in unaided collages but it demands donations upto several thousands which can't easily be afforded by her parents. Thus she decided, if she studies, she would go only to a government collage. That day another allotment came. she eagerly checked into internet site whether she secured any seat. she sat on the chair as her mother sat near by. Her mother was eagerly looking at Sradha's face as she dont know anything about internet. suddenly sradha putdown the phone and walked away. Sradhas mother become sad. "Don't worry dear we'll get it in next allotment " Sradha's mother said as she walked into Sradha's room. srahda was lying on bed. Her eyes were wet. 'Were you crying?? " asked her mother. sradha remained silent. "Don't cry dear. we'll take educational loan and apply in an unaided college. " "No ma. I'll go for open university and follow public examination pattern as well." Sradha's mother knew that she will never agree to join an unaided college because of their financial conditions. Sradha always stood as a pillar to her mother. Eventhough she is younger in family, she always shows more maturity than her elder brother who was studying in government iti. Sradha's phone rang. Sradha looked into the screen it was achu. "Hello" achu said " Hey. What happend? " I secured a seat in nss college. " "What??? Isn't it an unaided college?" "Yes! But we'll get back our money if we get government seat" "Ok ok. " "Do you want to join? There are seats " "No achu. Iam not interested" "Ok. Let me know if new allotment comes'' "Ok bye" She hung up phone. She thought of seats and quotas in government colleges. It is Sradha's cousin sister's house warming on next week. She wanted to attend the function at the same time she wanted to avoid her relative's questions about her admission. As she can't avoid it, she decided to attend the function. Her sister is so beloved to her. She always considered sister as her another mother. She reached there on morning itself. As sradha entered new house her sister asked her to help in last minute cleaning. They were doing things together. The function will start on 8o clock itself and some of their relatives were arriving. There will be an aunty in every family who wants to know all other's family matter and never discloses her's family matter to others. Sradha's family too had such a person. she arrived to the function and were digging all others family. she saw sradha and her mother arranging things. Aunty ran towards them. "ohh sradhuu...... what are you doing here....?? how are youu?? have you got any admission in any college??" she asked in one breath. "All good aunty. No i Haven't got admission" "oh my god.. what will you do? yiu should have studied better sradhu " sradha didn't replied to her and she walked away. Sradha was helping her sister with all works like cleaning. Suddenly her phone rang. "Hey, have you checked the new allotment?" It was Sradha's friend Achu. Achu started without even an hello. " Is allotment out?? No I haven't checked yet. Have you got seat? " Sradha replied. "No yaar. I hadn't got it. Any way Iam going to MSS college. You just check and let me know the good news." As achu hangup the phone, Sradha's heart beat was beating much faster. She grabbed her mother's phone and checked whether she secured any seats in government quota. By this time, everyone gathered there to know whether she cracked it. "yes amma!!!!! I cracked it." sradha whispers to her mothers ears by hugging her. It was a moment of joyfulness in everyone. The joy doesn't long for much time. As every one knows the notorious college name. The UC college!. Discussions started at the very right moment. As every family members were there they formed two groups, one who supports sradha to study where ever she wants and another group saying where ever she can go other than the notorious uc college. Many started saying stories of their familiar peoples who has become worse in life and Carrier becuase of joining uc college and other's described successful person's life who studied in the same uc college. Sradha's mother was in total confusion. But she was sure that sradha wouldn't join any private colleges with lots of fees. As it was a government college, uc college will have only a minimum fee.
