“What time will your shift end?”
“Hahaha sorry, but that is my mother over there. She won’t allow me to ditch work until late at night.”
“I can wait until dawn, you know. Want me to talk with your mother? I’m sure she’ll allow it if you go out with a pretty woman like me.”
“I’m really sorry. I can’t since I have classes as well.”
I had already lost count of how many persistent women asked Nil out. Even their ages range from teens to adults, so my expectation that Agnes would be able to shoo them away was broken after my two-week stay in her shop.
Their bone-cringing lines almost make me laugh every time I hear them. I wish I was a customer so I could react as much as I can, but that will never be the case here.
