She looks up at me, I can see the tears in her eyes as she sits down beside me. “It triggered his release, he’s gone now, no longer attached to you both, at least for now” She whispers, rubbing on her hair and whiping her face as a tear spills over and rolls down her cheek. The realisation hits me, he was with us, he was by our side. He had watched over us. But now he was gone. My heart shatters, contracting in pain as deek falls over hope and we sob, we sob our hearts out into her fur. He was really really gone, we would never see him again, I’d never fight with him, love him, kiss him, hold him, watch him sing to her, fight with her. He was gone and now it was just her and me, we had no other choice but to live, to live in a world where he nolonger existed. The thought completely
