“Yes, he’s ours, your not having him”
She growls at me, struggling to free herself from tates grip, Tate in turn growls at her, yanking her back
“Attempt to free yourself from my grip again and I kill him”
“You even sniff in his direction and I’ll kill you and all your men! Don’t threaten my mate in my home, no actually, don’t threaten my mate ever!”
Desmond growls
“Ok you guys need to chill, nobody is killing nobody, just chill”
Mum says, yanking Carter with her
“She’s right, nobody is dying here today”
Carter tells us all, tates eyes never leave gavins face
“Your not my king, I’ll kill who I want. We are leaving NOW!”
Tate snaps, yanking Hadley back, she cries out in pain as he grabs her arms pulling her towards the door
“Let her go! Your hurting her”
Dad roars walking up to him
“My mate, my rules. We are leaving NOW Hadley”
“No! He’s mine to! He can be both our mates Tate, please”
“NO! IM NOT GAY AND IM NOT SHARING”
He throws her into the arms of the guards and steps out in front of her as dad goes for him
“Get her out now!”
He shouts, missing the hit as dad tries to punch him
“What the f**k are you doing!”
Mum screams as the guards grab Hadley roughly, yanking at her arms and legs as she cries out in pain.
Something inside me snaps, I don’t like her but I won’t have them hurt her. Carter moves but hope moves faster, using the air to slam the door closed with one hand, the other I use to force Tate up against the wall
“STOP NOW!”
I command with the full force of my soul, as I say it they all freeze, the power imminents from my body in waves, all but Carter, Carly and mum freeze. The power doesn’t affect them but it affects everyone else.
“I want them in the cellar now!”
I tell Desmond, he nods closing his eyes
“You can’t f*****g do this! She’s my mate! I have a right to stay with her!”
“You don’t have any rights when you hurt her, you don’t have any rights when your trying to kill my mate!”
Hadley growls at me
“Mine!”
She shouts. I jump off the island and I walk straight up to her, glaring at her. She may look like me but she doesn’t act like me, she doesn’t smell like me, she doesn’t sound like me. I get right up into her face, yanking the arms of the guards off her.
“He is MINE! You won’t have him, he doesn’t want you! You will turn and leave with your mate in peace or you stay and have a holiday in the cellar but either way he is mine and you won’t ever touch him, you won’t ever try to be with him. Do you understand?”
I snap, just as the last hand of the warrior is ripped from her arm, she square’s up to me, nose to nose
“You might be able to hear now, you may be able to stand up for yourself and you may be less of a coward but one thing is certain.”
She taps her chest
“I WILL ALWAYS BE THE BETTER CHOICE”
she roars, as she does the room comes to life growling from all around me. I smirk at her as Hope leaps forward, grasping her throat and squeezing on it
“Is that so, let’s find out then”
I tell her, throwing her towards the ground with all the power in my body. Tate growls trying to fight through my command to get to her as she flies across the room on her back. Gavins head snaps up to me.
“No, stop this baby, I don’t want her. Infact. I gavin gunner Gregory reject you Hadley O’Connor as my mate and beta”
As he says the last word, Hadley screams grabbing her chest in pain, gavin doesn’t flinch, I could feel the bond dissolve even further. It wasn’t gone completely but gavin could not feel the break, he hardly felt the bond.
“Let me go, please she’s crying”
Tate panics, I look to Carter to make sure he wasn’t a threat, he nods at me, a smile playing on his lips as I drop the power and let Tate go. He runs to a crying Hadley as my parents look between us in shock. Not sure of what to say or what to do.
“Do the ceremony now”
I snap, the boys heads snap straight to my face looking very confused
“What? Why?”
“Because the only way to kill the bond completely is for the Ailm marks to appear and you made a promise and I don’t break them so make us one so we can complete the bond”
I say walking back to gavin who opens his arms
“You're sure that will work? The Ailm marks will make the bond dissolve? She won’t feel it anymore?”
Tate asks Carter, Carter stills glaring back at him
“Yes”
He snaps shaking his head before continuing
“It doesn’t give you an excuse to hurt her though, that was unacceptable and if I see it again I’ll break your bond forever”
“No, don’t please”
Tate snaps, cradling Hadley in his arms, rocking her back and forward. Gavin pulls me against him, kissing my throat and burying his head in the crook of my neck.
“Do it Hadley please. Please accept it”
Tate whispers, she sobs harder. I feel a wave of guilt wash through the bond, making me look up at gavin. He looked guilty as he lifts his head to talk
“I’m sorry I hurt you, I really am. But I love heartly and Desmond. I love them both with every fibre in my body and I will always choose them. I love them. They are mine. But I am sorry you got hurt in the process”
“f**k you you bastard! I f*****g HATE you!”
She screeches, the sound far higher than my ears can tolerate, I cry out grabbing them as the drum in my ear vibrates at the shrill sound, bringing a tear to my eye as I fall forward. Desmond moves fast, catching me as gavin jumps over my body and he lands right infront of Hadley and Tate, he takes them both by the throat
“Mate or not, hurt my mate again and I’ll kill you both!”
He tells them, his words were quiet but laced with venom. Tate growls, pushing forward to attack him but gavin is faster, grasping his arm and twisting it and yanking it back behind him with a snap.
This in turn sets Hadley off, making her scream even louder as she fights to get to gavin. Gavin catches both her arms as they flail towards him and he spins her, pushing her into dads chest
“Stop her before I do something I regret! Get them all the f**k out of my house and away from my mates!”
He growls at everyone,
“f**k YOU YOU CUNT! I f*****g HATE YOU! I HADLEY OCONNOR ACCEPT YOUR REJECTION AS MY MATE! I hope you f*****g die!”
She says before she screams, catching her chest again as dad holds onto her, everyone stood around in shock as gavin walks back to us. He didn’t even feel the bond as it snapped. Hadley is Lycan so her bond to him is permanent until the Ailm marks appear but it’s already almost gone.
