He pushes both Desmond and myself towards the door
“Come on, we can go for breakfast while they clear out the trash”
Desmond snorts, scooping me up bridle style and he kisses my cheek before he follows gavin out of the house and towards the car.
“I have no shoes”
I tell them quietly, my ears still rung from all the shouting and screaming
“I’ll buy you new shoes”
“Or we could go to mums and have her do the ceremony there”
Desmond asks, I shrug
“Yeah, let’s do it. Can we by any chance go on a honeymoon away from everyone too?”
I suggest, Desmond chuckles
“We can see if my parents can hold down the fort if you like, we can go wherever you want”
He tells me, kissing my cheek. Gavin opens the passenger seat door for us, Desmond gets in with me on his knee.
“I agree, too much drama around here, we all need a break”
He says before he closes the door, he runs to the other side, jumping in and smiling at us.
“Are you ok?”
I whisper nervously
“I’ll be ok when I know you both believe me when I say I didn’t feel a bond, that I don’t want her. I only want you both”
Desmond grabs his shirt and he yanks him over, kissing his lips, arousel washes through me at the sight. Even when I was in pain they were still capable of making me horny
“I believe you, I can feel it”
He tells him, pecking his lips again. I grin as he pulls back so I could kiss him too
“I believe you too, I love you both so much”
I peck him again then I pull away and lay against Desmond, cuddling into his chest.
We go straight to Desmond’s parents house, walking through it we go to the deck out back to find ailm and Isla laying on the day beds. They both smile but it fades when they see my bloody feet.
“What the f**k happened now?”
Isla asks, jumping up and clearing a space for Desmond to sit down.
“We had an incident”
Gavin says looking to Ailm
“The first aid kit?”
“Under the bar”
He nods, ducking back inside as Desmond sits down, Ailm grabs my feet cringing as she pulls some ceramic from one of the many gashes.
“What the hell happened?”
She asks as deacon and Jake come from the steps at the side
I look to Desmond to tell them, my ears were still ringing from her scream and it was hard to concentrate enough to remember all my words. Even hope was feeling the effects of the noise.
Desmond tells them everything as Ailm and Isla clean out my feet and wrap them up. When they are done they hand me a huge joint and take a seat beside me
“Are you sure you want to leave it like that? She’s still your sister”
“She said she will always be the better choice, if I can hear or not”
Both of the boys plus deacon and Jake growl at that
“What a b***h!”
Jake snaps grumpy
“I know, what the f***s up her ass. Your better off staying away”
Deacon adds, Ailm and Isla both smile at me sympathetically
“Maybe your right, maybe you should let everyone cool off first”
“I’m glad you think that because we need you to do the ceremony now and then take over for a few weeks”
Desmond says with a cheesy grin like he was trying to butter his parents up like a big kid. Gavin chuckle shaking his head at him as all four of them roll their eyes
“Your going away?”
Deacon asks
“Yes, let everyone cool off and give heartly a chance to get use to hearing properly”
I’m not sure I’ll ever get use to hearing, but the quiet would be nice. A beach, somewhere silent, anywhere that had no people.
“Go do your thing, we will be here and we can take over until you guys have a chance to adjust”
Jake says smiling at us
“Where will you go?”
Isla asks, putting her feet up and leaning over to light my joint. I take a drag and lay back into Desmond, resting against his chest.
“I don’t care as long as it’s quiet”
I whisper before I continue
“You all probably think I’m crazy, finally able to hear yet I want to run off to an abandoned Island so I don’t have to hear. It’s just hard to adjust”
“Of Course it is, I can’t imagine how your feeling baby, it’s a shock and it’s going to take time to get use to it. Hopefully the quiet will slowly help you adjust”
Gavin tells me as Desmond pulls his phone out and he starts texting
“I’m telling Carter and Carly to bring your parents here so they can watch the ceremony. Then hopefully Carly can bring us to the island?”
I nod in agreement
“Yeah, tell them I want to leave soon”
I add, gavin jumps up
“I need to feed you, please make sure nobody that will cause trouble will come. I don’t want any more drama and I won’t allow her to hurt heartly any more than she already has”
He warns Desmond, leaning down to kiss me softly
“I know, I’m telling them to make sure they are gone before they arrive”
Desmond mutters as gavin heads inside to make food. I lay back and take a cup of coffee from Jake and I try to relax, the ringing slowly chills out and stops, but as it does im hit with a wave of exhaustion, closing my eyes I can feel myself fall into a dreamless sleep.
