Heartly wake up it’s mum” I blink, opening my eyes, my head felt heavy and tired, my eyelids felt like sandpaper as I stare up at her. “Hey baby, how do you feel?” As she says that, the memories of the morning all hit me at once. A flood of anger flows through me at the thought of what my sister had done. “Pissed” She snorts nodding her head “I’m not surprised” She says leaning forward and wagging her hand towards herself “Come on, you should sit up” She takes my arms and she pulls me up and off the bed, only then did I realise I wasn’t at home or in a room I recognised “Your at Ailms house, this was Desmond’s room growing up, he’s in the kitchen” I nod looking around, it was dark navy and cream, decorated simply. “What time is it?” I ask her, she smiles at me sadly “Around 4, you’ve been asleep for a while but they want to do the ceremony now and I need to get you ready” I nod my head, rubbing my eyes as my stomach rumbles loudly, Hope groans “So hungry” She whispers sleepy “Here, gavin made you this” She hands me a plate of sausages, bacon, waffles and eggs, it smelled amazing. I dig in immediately. As I eat mum talks “I’m still in shock at how your sister acted, I’m still in shock that gavin was her mate and I’m pissed at pops for not telling me before today happened” I shrug my shoulders, swallowing the food in my mouth “don’t be angry with him, he didn’t think today would happen. Why start drama if the bond was going to disappear. Nobody needed to know that” She sighs shaking her head “And as usual you are far too forgiving for your own good” I shake my head “No, no I’m not” I tell her shaking my head in disbelief before I continue “I’m just angry at the right person. The way Hadley and Tate Reacted was unforgivable. The things she said. I always knew that’s what she thought of me but to actually hear her say it was a different story. I’m not pissed at pops because it wasn’t his fault that tates men attacked gavin or how she nearly attacked me or even the vile things she said to me” She closes her eyes nodding her head but I don’t stop “Look I get it, she’s your daughter aswell but mum what she did was wrong, I don’t want her here, I don’t want to see her again” Hope helps me say all the right words, she felt the same way. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry she came. I’m just sorry. When I get home she will get an earful, I promise you that. But for now I think you need to complete your bond and get out of here for a while. You all need to cool off for a while” “Agreed, now did you happen to grab my dress?” I ask her looking around the room then to my feet and I grin wiggling my toes. “Mum healed your feet and yes I have got the dress” She reaches behind her and pulls a dress bag from off the chair she was sitting on. Opening it up I grin at my outfit, I had chosen it around a year ago for the ceremony and I was now so happy I had the chance to wear it. I reach for the shoe box beside her and open it up and I pull out the brown and white lace gladiator sandals that complement the outfit perfectly. I quickly finish my food then I stand up and pull the dress from my body “Arghhh your naked, f**k at least let me turn around” Mum squeals making hope and me both giggle “Seriously have you no shame?” She snaps “It’s just skin” “Well I don’t need to see all of it, jezzz” She was now covering her eyes with her hand, staring away at the wall. I grab the skirt and I pull it on, zipping it up then I yank the top over my head. “Finished, you can look now” She peeks before she actually lets go of her hand to see, relaxing instantly when she releases I was in fact dressed. She helps me with my sandals then brushes my hair as I apply a thin layer of makeup, a little concealer over the last of the bruising on my face, some lip gloss, mascara and a tiny bit of blush to finish. When I’m done I get up to look myself over, I didn’t have much confidence in myself usually but I had to admit I did look good. I looked pure, pretty and even a little innocent. The skirt was a loose white maxi skirt, the design was simple yet elegant, loose layers rippled to the ground, the side opened up into a thigh high split, it would tease the boys, showing just enough of my long tanned legs to get them excited for what was to come next. The top was a white knitted crop vest, stopping just above my bellybutton, giving the illusion my hips are larger than my small waist. on my feet I wore flat brown gladiator sandals, laced up my leg to just below my knees. It was pretty yet comfortable yet not over the top but I wasn't underdressed either. “You ready love?” Mum asks, I grin turning to look at her, she wore a huge wide grin on her face as she looked me over. Handing me my ring she sighs happy with how I look “This was never meant to be rushed, it was never meant to be last minute but I’m happy this day is finally here” She tells me softly, taking my hand and leading me out to the kitchen area. As I arrive I’m surprised to see the amount of people that were here, just my family, my brother and his mates, my grandparents and great grandparents. Aswell as Desmond’s parents. I chuckle when I notice they are all whispering to each other, it sounds like a buzz of energy but actually it was just words all moving into one. Confused I look to mum who’s cringing “Is it too loud?” I shake my head “No but it all sounds like one long word” I whisper back not wanting any of them to feel guilty when they were already trying so hard to be quiet. “Well then why don’t we start so you guys can get out of here?” I nod in agreement as she pulls me into the room, as I arrive I see a very tipsy looking katiana jump of the couch and run straight towards me with a huge grin on her face “You have no idea how excited I am for you” She tells me, yanking me into a hug, shaking me from side to side gently
