Lily’s POV
Once the words left my mouth, I felt a weight lift from my shoulders, Chris let go of me stepping back in surprise, I got up pulling the drip from my arm, I ran from the room, I didn’t stop till I was in our room, throwing clothes into a bag. Chris soon came running into the room, I had changed my clothes and was pulling on boots “Lil don’t go, don’t leave me again, it wasn’t my fault Jay died” he said coming closer is hand in front of him in defence “I’m sick of you, I’m sick of this house, and I’m sick of the way people call me Luna, I was never meant to be Luna” I said pushing past him “Lily I can’t let you leave, I can’t live without you” he said following me “well you did for 21 years before you met me, I’m sure you can keep going with your life” I spat at him, his hand grabbed my wrist tightly “Lily will you listen to me for just a second” he pulled me towards “let go of me, you know what I should go to Nickolas” I said trying to wrench my wrist out of his wrist when, his other hand collided with the side of my face. Sending me to the ground, then a second hit then a third, his hand was raised again when somebody pushed him off me, I heard the sound of bone cracking, I turned on my side to see Jackson punching the crap out of Chris, and I slowly got to my feet. I pulled Jackson off Chris with difficulty, “are you alright lil” Jackson said inspecting my face, “I’m fine, you better take him to see the Doc” I said picking up my bag “Lil, you alright, you know he didn’t mean it” Jackson said pulling Chris up “but how many times do you expect me to forgive him, see you Jackson, take care of yourself” I said turning away, and walking down the hall.
As I closed the front door for the last time, I felt a pang of sadness, how could he do this for me, he hit me, how could he have done that, he said he loved me. Was that a lie, did he ever truly love me. I walked over to the garage and grabbed the keys to a Landover. As soon as I got into the driver’s seat I broke down in tears. I turned the car on and back out of the garage. I drove all the way to the pub. I grabbed the key and let myself in, the grandfather clock on the other end of the room chimed, I knew it was 2 in the afternoon. “Lil” Max yelled coming down the stairs “Max come here it’s so good to see you” I said picking him up and swinging him around in a circle “where’s Uncle Toni” I said putting Max on my hip and walking up the stairs, I walked up to a landing, I knew Geo’s was on the left and the spare was on the right and Toni’s was at the end. I walked gingerly up to the door, when it opened up “Lilianna, my flower” he said pulling me into a hug “Toni I left the pack, I need a place to stay” I said putting down Max “my darling come take a seat, he said walking me into a room off the hall, there was a couch and a desk, this was Toni’s study, I was never allowed in here before, Toni spent most of his time in here “come sit, tell me everything that happened” he said putting me down on the couch, I pulled my hair up and put it in a bun on top of my head, “what the hell did he do to you” Toni said grabbing my face “the bruise must have been yellowing, I hadn't realized how hard he had hit me “he hit me a few times before Jackson tackled him off me” I said my eyes cast downwards “right, I am going to take care of this mutt once and for all” he said through gritted teeth “don’t worry about it Toni, I've left him, he’s not my mate anymore” I said grabbing Toni’s arm “well I think I might go and see Geo, tell him I’m here to stay for a while” I said standing up and walking to Geo’s room.
