I let out a scream that would wake the dead, he was taken by surprise and I made a break for it out the door, I had a pretty good idea of this place and I made it down to the infirmary in a matter of minutes, Jay was sitting on a hospital be next to Max, the Alpha was right on my heels as I burst through the door, Jay automatically sprang into action, moving in front of me, he was still weak but he had Alpha blood running through his body unfortunately girls don’t get Alpha strength like guys do. “Stay away from my family” Jay roared at the Alpha “she is my mate, she is my property” My mate bellowed back “little sis, why don’t you just reject this pig headed bastard and we can leave already” Jay said looking back at me “I can’t reject him, he said he would do something to me if I tried to leave” I said taking a step towards Jay “like what” Jay asked through are mind link “force me” I said back mentally gesturing to my downstairs area “you got to be f**king kidding me” Jay said before launching himself at the Alpha, shifting as he jumped, landing right onto of the Alpha. I also phased, I didn't want Jay to hurt him but I had to protect my brother from being killed, Beta Jackson burst through the doors ready to launch at Jay at a moment’s notice. Jay was backed into a corner by a few more wolves that had come to help the Alpha, the Alpha phased back into human form “Jackson, Luke inject that mutt with wolfs bane and throw him in the cells no food or water for a week” the alpha yelled before coming over to me, his eyes raked over my body, studying every inch of my exposed skin “here” said a woman throwing me some clothes, “I see my son Chris is being an ass hole like always, I wonder where he got it from because it wasn't me” she said coming over and hugging me “get out now” Chris growled at his mother “don’t you dare ever do that again” she said growling back “Luna, I apologize for his behavior, I think he has a lack of respect for women ever since his sister left” she said sorrow in her eyes “your son is doing fine, were treating him at the moment” she said walking over too Max’s bed tucking a curl behind his ear, Chris growled lowly “your ‘partner’ will be fine” she said giving me a reassuring smile “Max and Jay are my brothers, were children of the last alpha of our pack, around 2 years ago our land was taken over by a member of our pack and I escaped with my brothers, we've been on the run ever since” I said a tear rolling down my lashes “babe come here” Chris said pulling me closer to me “get off me, don’t you dare touch me ever again” I said sitting down on a chair next to Max's bed “when will he be better, when can he get up” I said looking up at Chris’ mum “he should be fine by tomorrow, if you want I can make you up a cot…” she said but Chris cut her off “she sleeps in my bed” he said power emanating off him, good he made my heart beat faster and my stomach have butterflies “I’m staying here until he wakes up, until I know he’s better” I said taking his hand “I order you” he said crossing his arms, I felt more power washing off him, but I could play that game to “I’m not part of your pack you can’t control me” I hissed at him “soon you will be” Chris said before leaving the room, in a rage. “I’ll be back soon” I said standing up and taking a pillow and a blanket off an empty cot and walked out of the room, I walked down to the cells, I walked to the end cell, Jay was chained to the wall, he was slumped over and in a lot of pain, “here” I said unlocking the door and walking in, I sat down next to him, putting the pillow behind him and the blanket over him, making sure he was comfortable, “Lil get out of here take Max with you and run as far as you can. I will find you, you have to lead the family from now on” Jay said giving me a weak smile, “come on, I’m stay right here from now on, and hopefully Max can visit you soon, I’ll get you some food and water tomorrow” I said cuddling up to his side, Jay always helped me sleep, ever since we started running.
