AURORA’S POV We parted ways after a hearty breakfast with Thomas, who went the whole nine yards with bacon, eggs, pancakes, and sausage links. He seemed sad to see us go but excited for us in the following “leg of our journey,” as he called it. He made us promise to visit again soon, as he wasn’t used to getting visitors, having his head in books and his mind all the time. We promised and left him after a quick call to Rachel’s clinic, asking her to meet us at a diner outside Ridelia.
