AURORA’S POV
Wade and Rachel had insisted we stay with Rachel for the night, who had an extra bedroom with a bed. We didn’t have anywhere else to go, so after some prodding, we agreed. Silas kept a watchful eye driving there to ensure we weren’t being followed. The only vehicle that kept close to us was Wade, who also insisted on staying the night after a quick call to his mate.
She didn’t question his need to stay out for a break news story all night. I suspected this wasn’t the first night he’d made this call. She was probably used to being mated to a reporter, and the odd hours they could keep when a big story was breaking. I’m not sure she would have been understanding if he had mentioned that Rachel’s apartment was where he’d be writing his story.
