‘Why’d you like, Calista?’ I thought.
‘I didn’t lie.’
‘Yes, you did. You said that Alphas didn’t hear their inner wolves. No one does. But you’re here. Talking to me.’
Calista was silent for a moment. ‘I didn’t think you’d trust me if I told you the truth.’
