Seven Thursday, April 21 USS Bougainville Caribbean Sea Eva had never been on a ship before, and it surprised her that for the next few days they didn’t even see land. She had assumed they would be hugging the coastline, but obviously she had been wrong. That evening at dinner, Caleb told her that was about to change—that they’d be at the Panama Canal soon. He said there was a line of ships waiting to go through the canal, but that it shouldn’t delay their journey by more than a day.
