Kalani’s House, Moloka‘i
Thomas entered his cousin Kalani’s kitchen. He was the last to make it to the mountain top house for their midday break. He’d been working in the makeshift relief clinic set up down in town and had gotten done with morning clinic late. Although Moloka‘i had suffered no casualties, there had been many injuries to treat, and the main town had been destroyed.
His family and Eva’s, along with his younger cousin Kai and his Uncle Mauna, had been occupying Kalani’s house since the tsunami, and each had a job to do in providing relief to the people of Moloka‘i.
