Lilah’s heart pounded as Damien’s lips crashed into hers again.
This time, he didn’t hold back.
His hands gripped her waist, pulling her against him as if he wanted to consume her. The heat between them was intoxicating, overwhelming, and she couldn’t think past the way his body felt pressed against hers.
She had never felt anything like this before.
Never been touched like this.
Damien’s fingers slid beneath the thin fabric of her dress, his touch burning against her skin. Lilah gasped, but instead of pulling away, she arched into him, craving more—needing more.
Damien growled low in his throat.
“You have no idea what you’re doing to me,” he murmured against her lips.
Lilah’s hands trembled as she traced the hard muscles of his chest, feeling the warmth of his skin, the way he shuddered under her touch.
“I want you,” she whispered.
Damien stilled.
His crimson eyes locked onto hers, dark and unreadable. A muscle ticked in his jaw, as if he was fighting against something dangerous inside him.
“You don’t know what you’re asking for,” he said, his voice strained.
Lilah swallowed. “Then show me.”
A curse left his lips.
And then he was on her again—fierce, hungry, desperate.
He lifted her effortlessly, pressing her against the cold wall of the penthouse. Lilah gasped as his lips trailed down her throat, his sharp teeth grazing her skin but never breaking it.
Teasing her.
Damien’s hands roamed over her body, memorizing every inch of her as if he would never get another chance.
Lilah clung to him, her breath ragged, her body burning from the inside out.
“You’re driving me insane,” Damien admitted, his voice rough against her skin.
Lilah smiled breathlessly, her fingers threading through his dark hair. “Good.”
A low, dangerous chuckle rumbled from his chest.
“Careful, little light,” he warned. “You have no idea how dark I can be.”
Lilah cupped his face, forcing him to meet her gaze.
“I’m not afraid of you, Damien.”
Something inside him snapped.
With a growl, he carried her to the massive bed, laying her down with careful intensity.
And then, as the city lights flickered outside, Damien claimed her.
The night blurred into heated whispers, tangled sheets, and reckless abandon.
Lilah lost herself in him.
And Damien let himself burn for her.
But neither of them knew that by dawn, everything would change.
