Hidden Feelings: Unlocked!

Karl's POV Once again, she has shown an attitude that she hasn't shown before. Gabriella is really different from before and it's not the first time I'm noticing it. She would never walk into the dining room if I'm here with Katelyn, but she did today. She finished her meal and went back to her room, without sparing me a glance. I thought she was going to get holed up in there because of what happened last night. The Pavels have failed in killing her once again. It's high time I stopped with the task, or else, I'll become a suspect. Katelyn, who was still holding onto my hand sprung up from the chair and grabbed her designer bag. "What's wrong with her? She never spoke to us that way before" "Let's go" I ignored her question and walked out of the dining room. We left the mansion and I dropped her off at the company she's working at before heading to the company. Jamie who was at the driver's seat handed me a brown envelope. "What is it?" I asked. "News about Gabi, the assassin" he replied. I hurriedly opened it and checked. She was really dead. She was killed by her own boss. It wasn't an accident. Why did he kill her? I glanced through the rest of the information and saw that she was the strongest out of all her colleagues and also, she was the most hated one. She had been with the boss since she was young and knows too much information about the assassin team. Due to fear of being betrayed, the boss decided to end her life. I smacked my lips and threw the papers to the other side of the chair. To think she even shared the same name with the woman in my house. "Did you send her payment?" "Not yet sir, you told me not to" he replied. "Don't send any payment to anyone. They've failed the mission twice at that" "Yes, boss" he replied. After some minutes, we arrived at the huge building that's forty floor tall. I followed the backdoor and strolled into the company. "Good morning boss" "Good morning Mr Vaughan" I just waved at my employees that greeted me as I headed straight to my office. I fell on my seat and sighed loudly. I was still thinking about Gabriella. "Boss, the fake ID and other documents for Mrs Vaughan is ready" Jamie reported to me. Mrs Vaughan? He's the only one capable of calling her that. No other person would call her that. I even find it difficult to call her by her name. "Which department is she working at?" "The advertising department. It's difficult because of how she would have to socialise" he replied. Well, that's the goal. Once the task gets too difficult for her, she would have to give up and resign from the job. "That's great. She would start on Monday" "Understood sir" Jamie concluded and walked out of the office. I pulled my seat closer to the computer. Not just to start working, I wanted to see what she's up to. The last time Gabriella got close to me, I got a b***r. She didn't kiss me or do anything, all she did was grab my tie and.... I froze seeing her on my computer screen. What is she doing? She laid half naked on the bed, watching her phone. Her legs were dangling in the air. Is this what she does when she's all alone? Should I have made her my assistant and make her start the job immediately? Fuck! Staring at her was still giving me the same reaction as that night. I've never felt that way whenever I'm with Gabriella, why now? She's really different. She decided to change her ways and also, avoid me. She claimed she no longer love me. What if she decides to break our marriage? No way! Cheryl walked into the room with some fruit and drinks. She waved at Cheryl, still wearing whatever she was wearing. What if a guard is staring at her? Why... Am I furious that even her maid got to see her body? I was about to check what happened during the attack last night and I remembered that I turned the CCTV off so there won't be evidence if my name was mentioned. Jamie strolled into the office again and reminded me of my next meeting. It was difficult to concentrate when all I was thinking about was Gabriella. To be honest, I missed the way she hung around me, begging for my attention. She would literally do anything for for me to speak to her, but now, it's the other way around. I want her to...touch me. . . Evening came and we drove back home. Katelyn was in the car because, she spends Thursdays in my mansion. She had her bags with her, still holding my arm. She pressed it on her boobs on my body, talking about her day at her office. I don't care about it, but I just pretend to listen. The car stopped in front of the house and I was the first to alight. I raised my head to look if Gabriella was waiting for me, but she wasn't there. A deep frown appeared in my head. Katelyn must have noticed that I was looking at Gabriella's room. She got close to me and pulled me into the house. "Come on, let's have dinner. I'm starving" The butler walked out to greet me. "Welcome back, Mr Vaughan" "Where is she?" I asked, ignoring his greetings. He tilted his head in confusion, wondering who I was talking about. He knew I've never asked about Gabriella's wellbeing. "Where is Gabriella?" I asked again. "Oh, she..." He stuttered and turned to look at Katelyn. The servants in this house only sees Katelyn as their mistress and not, Gabriella. I'm not even married to her. I don't know how the servants treat her whenever I'm not around, but it's pretty much obvious. "Didn't you hear my question?" I frowned. "She's in the kitchen, Mr Vaughan" he replied. Did she walk around wearing that transparent thing again? I walked past them and head into the house, headed straight to the kitchen only to meet her with Cheryl. Gabriella grew up like a princess and wasn't allowed to do anything in the house. She can't do anything in the house and cooking is even included. Cheryl was holding her phone, listing the ingredients for her as she mixed them together. Gabriella got the ingredients right and mixed well. It's not like I know what she's doing. Cheryl noticed my presence and shot her eyes wide open. Katelyn immediately rushed into the kitchen. Thanks to her loud footsteps, Gabriella finally noticed us. She turned around, showing off her cute round face. Her hair was tied into a ponytail and the pink apron on her body reminded me of that night again. "Why did you rush in here like that, Karl?" Katelyn asked me. I wasn't focused on her. "What are you doing in here, Gabriella?" I asked my wife. She handed what she was mixing to Cheryl and slowly folded her hands. She leaned on the counter, staring at me with her beautiful face. There was no make up on it. "I feel like you're stalking me, Mr Vaughan. Maybe I'm wrong..." "What are you talking about?" I frowned. "How did you know I was in the kitchen? Even if you knew where I was, why are you speaking to me? You once told me never to behave like a real wife because you won't behave like a real husband. Are you going to go back on your words now?" She's right. When we got married, I said those words on our wedding night before moving to another room. I married Gabriella just because her parents wanted it. I would have married Katelyn instead. I would have still ended the relationship but, I can't. I don't want to, not until I've gotten my revenge on her and her family. Once again, what am I doing here? Why do I keep thinking about her? Have I gone crazy? I immediately turned around and walked out of the kitchen. I froze again to look at her before walking away. Maybe I've really gone crazy. I better stay away from that woman before she ruin my whole plan. I also have to be careful. If her parents find out about what I've been doing to their daughter, I can't imagine what they would do to me. I immediately headed towards the stairs and saw the butler there. I paused and shot him a hard glare. "If my wife spends another minute in that kitchen, you'll not only lose your job" I threatened him. With his trembling body, he ran out of my sight after apologizing. Fuck! This is going to be hard.
