The happenings in Matella is cheering news to the begrudging citizens of Alonika, who so highly begrudge Isasda, but not good enough news for King Isasda and his lieutenants. In every kingdom, they are people who go whichever way the wind carries them either for a lack of principles or to meet their immediate wants and in Alonika they were not in short supply. Around King Isasda gathered characters of all shades; from flatterers seeking opportunity, liars maligning their neighbors for bread, betrayers betraying family members and friends to the palace for favors, outlaws, and those who believed in the course of the King no matter his origin and manner of rule maybe because the loathed the Dalaci dynasty.
