Noah's POV We were decorating the backyard of Ellen's house for the birthday celebration of Ziva. She had no knowledge about all these things as we kept everything very secret. She was completing her assignment with Ellen in Ellen's room while we were doing our work downstairs. Normally to our estimation, they will take about 3 hours to complete their work and within that time we got time to prepare everything for the celebration. Moreover we had asked Ellen not to share anything with Ziva. In any way Ziva shouldn't reach the place of decoration otherwise our whole planning will be failed. I along Diya and others were doing all these things for Ziva as till this date, she had never celebrated her birthday. She thought that she had no right to celebrate her birthday. She felt that she wasn't important for others. If she was important then her parents had never left her after her birth. Till today she had no answer why her family left her alone. Time was passing rapidly and here we were lagging behind with so many works. After distributing work to everyone, I started to fix the banner. The one thing that looks perfect in the background in all the birthday pictures is the birthday banner. It is the most classic and yet simple birthday decoration idea for home celebration. Ziva 18 was written on it. Then along with other we placed ballons at the right places. We won't be able to imagine a birthday decoration without balloons. We had plenty of colours, shapes (heart, starts, oval, round, letters, etc.), patterns and even sizes, balloons for the birthday party. We had helium-filled balloons, air-filled balloons, glitter balloons and even balloons with LED lights inside them to made the hall even more decorative. I really guess Ziva to like these things we planned for her. Diya was making three layered chocolate flavored cake for Ziva. So after completing my work, I went to kitchen to see what my girlfriend was making for my best friend. "Hey Diya , what you are doing ?" I asked her by giving her a small peck on her lips. She blushed and said, " As decided I have almost completed the birthday cake. With a super moist crumb and fudgy, yet light texture, this chocolate cake will soon be Ziva's favorite. I had Topped it with chocolate buttercream and chocolate chips for 3x the chocolate flavor. cake is a combination of chocolate buttercream and mock-devil's food cake." "So Do you You know the Devil's Food chocolate cake you get at a restaurant or even from a box mix?" Diya asked in excitement. I loved the way her facial expressions change with situation. "Yes love, that's my favourite." I told her. "Mine too." She smiled and gave me a peck. The cake was really beautiful. Cake was great birthday cake. This chocolate cake was perfect. This cake created the fluffiest texture! The filling was a thick chocolate ganache that was whipped until fluffy. This frosting was the best! The cream cheese added the most perfect tang. Chocolate drip on the cake was amazing. "It's awesome, You made a beautiful cake " I told her . "Anything for my bestie. " She smiled and said. "Let me check, how others were doing their work. Also get ready anytime Ellen could message us. " I told her and kissed her and moved out of the kitchen. I saw everyone had almost completed their work. One by one we had changed our dress to a decent one for the celebration. Around 15 minutes later, everyone of us got message from Ellen that their assignment was over and they were coming down so immediately everyone of us hide in the background and waited till Ellen and Ziva reach here. In true sense I was really nervous as how she will react to see all these things. I hope she will like our efforts. ___________________________________ Ziva's POV Finally the assignment was over so it was the time to had some food and wine. Yes, I will have some beer today as it was my birthday. I allowed myself for this as I guess I was legal enough to have some wine. Although I knew no-one had any idea about my birthday as it was me who had told them never to celebrate my birthday because it hurts and it couldn't express it to anyone. But this year I had decided after the dinner, I will ask Ellen for wine as my birthday gift. I knew it sounded crazy but I really wanted to do it. I had decided I will request Ellen about it after the dinner and I know she will accept my request. I told Sister Rita that today I will stay with Ellen in her house so no worries if I will be high after taking few shots of wine. I smiled thinking all these things and asked Ellen to move downstairs so that we could have our dinner. As it was almost 10pm and literally mice were running in my stomach. " Yes, Ziva let's go ,am super excited." Ellen said with smile. I was amazed as what was so exciting to do dinner together yet I had decided not to say anything so that her mood will be spoilt. I smiled at her and both of us started to move downstairs. Suddenly the lights of the living room had gone as we were coming downstairs. “ Oo my God , Ziva , suddenly what had happened to this light. " Ellen asked with frightened voice. “ Don't worry Ellen, we had flash light in our phone so we could easily find what had happened. " I told her calmly. One of the important and most annoying characteristics of Ellen was the she panic immediately. So each and every time, someone needed to be her to tackle the situation. She hold my hands tightly and slowly we started to move towards the backyard as the main switch was there. As soon as we reached the backyard, suddenly the light came, the whole backyard was decorated beautifully with balloons, with banner , with photos. I was literally shocked as what was happening, it took me some time to process all these things. But before that Noah, along with Diya, Ellen, Zoe, Erith started to wish me birthday. " Happy Birthday dear Ziva, happy birthday Ziva, my god bless you. " Seeing all these there were tears in my eyes, it was hard for me to understand whether it was because of their surprise or it was for the fact that I was missing my parents again. I started to cry loudly, I sat down and there were only tears in my eyes. Looking at me , everyone panicked and rushed towards me. " I am sorry Ziva, it's all my fault, please don't be upset with anyone else. I was me who had planned everything. Please if you want you could beat me or scold me but please don't cry , it your day birthday girl and we all only want your happiness and you deserve it. They have told me about your parents but believe me many things are not in our hands so please try to move on and try to see the life in new way, believe me it's really beautiful. " Noah said hugging me tightly. I looked towards him with my teary eyes breaking the hug , and he gave me an assuring smile. Just then, Diya also told the same thing, “ Dear please , I don't know about others but I am always with you , whatever be the situation and I along with the rest wants to be with you always so please try to move on and celebrate this night. " "Yes Ziva, see everyone had came to be a part of your happiness so please give them chance. Moreover the celebration will be totally 18 + which means everyone was allowed to drink beer, wine, vodka and many more. Lastly believe me Sister Rita will have no knowledge about it." Ellen said with a wink and everyone started to laugh including me. She was such an i***t. It was true, till now I had confined myself with my miseries and never tried to come out of it. It was true, we couldn't get everything we wanted and we needed to be happy with whatever we have. So I had these crazy friend circle and I really love them and if they want me to enjoy my birthday then definitely I will do it for their happiness, for my happiness because their happiness was my happiness. I smiled looking at everyone and nodded my head indicating that I was into the party. As I did it, everyone shouted with joy and hugged me tightly. Finally the party started, everyone started to dance and sing on their own beat. It was really amazing to see their happiness. I was dancing with them and after some time we took our dinner. It was amazing as all the dishes they had ordered was my favourite and it was extremely delicious. Finally in please of dessert, it was decided that we will drink one shot of vodka. It was my first time so everyone was eager to see my reaction. It was hard to explain. "So Ziva how was it " Ellen asked me. I laughed and said “ Imagine the taste of water after you’ve boiled in 3 times, add in some powdered diamond, and mixed with the aroma of rubbing alcohol. I felt the same taste. " As soon as everyone heard my answer they started to laugh. It was difficult for anyone of them to control their laughing and in this way, we spent some time. Finally dinner was over and everyone of us were sitting on our mates and were discussing few things. Just then Diya started to move towards us with a very beautiful three layers cake. It was the most beautiful cake, I had seen in my life and I was so grateful to God, they had sent such a good humans in my life. She had kept the cake in front of me and placed the candle on it and asked me to close my eyes and made a wish. I smiled and closed my eyes. “ God please I want Noah like person in my life who also take care of me, like he does for Diya. I really like both of them and I too want a loving person like him " I wished and a lone tear fell from my eye. I looked towards Noah and smiled and he did the same. I knew it was hard for anyone to find a person so caring and loving like Noah but I was hoping for the best. As the clock striked I blowed off the candles and cut the cake. I gave the pieces of cake to eat to everyone and did the same with me. Everyone was enjoying and slowly one by one they were getting up to dance. They asked me to join them but this time I denied as I wanted to enjoy from distance. Noah too denied and both of us were discussing for things related to academics, future and all. Suddenly I heard a voice from inside, “ Happy Birthday Ziva, I am your wolf " As soon as I heard it I got scared and got up. " Hey , what happened birthday girl, you are okay ? " Noah asked me with a worried face. " No, no I am perfectly fine , I am going to grab a drink. " I said relaxing me. " Ziva it's your first time so please controlled drinking. " Noah said. I nodded and started to move towards the place where the bottles were kept. " Ziva, I want to tell you something, it's urgent please don't be afraid me, I am your inner wolf and I am able to connect with you because today you are going to shift. " The voice came from inside. I was not able to understand anything but suddenly I saw the full moon night and I started to feel some type of changes in me. The hairs in my body was growing, the size of my teeth was increasing and many more things were happening but it was hard for me to understand anything so without thinking more I started to run towards the forest which was behind the backyard. I ran and ran and finally passed away, the only thing I remember before I close my eyes was a very huge brown wolf approaching me, I was afraid of it but as soon as I saw those blue dazzling eyes, it reminded me of my very close friend and with a smile finally I closed my eyes.
