COMMANDER GREEN SIGNS off on Joshua’s seven-day leave.
Back at HQ, it isn’t business as usual for Unit One. Keith Stuart is in a narky mood. He asks Sgt Skinner, ‘What’s wrong with that guy?’ pointing to Joshua. ‘He’s circled Pippa’s desk a hundred times today. He’s making me dizzy. I swear on my grandmother’s grave that if he circles it one more time I’m going to thump him.’
Skinner laughs his head off. ‘It’s okay; it’s all new. The novelty will wear off.’
Keith Stuart sneers.
The boss just says, ‘You’re getting crankier in your old age.’
Skinner peeps out of the briefing room. Josh is leaning on Pippa’s desk, his fist on his chin, watching her work.
Keith continues his lamentation. ‘He’s behaving like a puppy. I’m telling you, Skinner, they can’t work the same hour
