Chapter 35

288 Words
“Where are they?!” “Crow” uttered the single sentence. “Where are what, exactly?” Blank questioned. “The memories!” He roared, launching another fist to Blank’s face. Blank dodged, deciding not to pull out the knife. He returned the ferocity with a fist of his own aimed for “Crow”’s jaw. “Crow”, in response, used his arm to stop the fist in its tracks, and begin his counter attack. The two went into a cycle of blocking attacks and countering until it was broken. Blank broke the cycle by mixing a kick in to get some distance. He didn’t wish to hurt Crow severely, only to put an end to his madness and capture him. He scanned Crow, waiting for an opening to appear. He kept his breathing under control, tried to keep his emotions in check. “Crow” lowered his hands a bit, revealing an opening, hoping that his opponent would take the bait. Surely enough, he did. Blank quickly closed the gap, aiming for his temple. He noticed something that sent a chill down his spine, “Crow” was smiling. This is bad. Why’s he smiling?! “Crow” grabbed his wrist and threw him to the ground. He didn’t let go of the arm and intended to break it. Blank caught on quickly to his opponent’s plan, he quickly pulled the knife out of his thigh holster and took a swing at “Crow”’s arm. “Crow” let go of the arm with haste, and took three big steps back to get out of the knife’s range. This will be harder than I thought. Blank thought, his breathing becoming uneven.
