Blood Lust Book 3: The Found

The boy had appeared at the crime scene, his hair was silver, but the lack of facial hair and wrinkles told those who laid eyes on him that he was in his teens. There were 5 bodies, all with wooden stakes in their chests. He took a look at the bodies and noticed the lack of any emblems, save for the one at the end of the stakes.  The boy sighed. This is obviously the work of the Jaeger. The Jaeger was the name they had assigned this demon since he made his appearance six months prior. He was a demon who hunted the Hunters. His preferred method for killing was always a stake to the heart, and the occasional drainage of blood. No one knew why he’d done it or why the ones who were drained of blood were always women.  The boy put on his examination gloves and began probing the bodies for any sort of evidence that might lead to the Jaeger. The only thing ever left by the Jaeger was always the stake with a pentagram on its hilt, red in appearance and menacing. The boy felt like he was being taunted by it.  Goddamn it. There wasn’t any clue to who the Jaeger was on or around the bodies. The five bodies were obviously not a part of The Exiles, there wasn’t any emblem present.  The boy turned to the others at the scene, “Do we have any ID for the victims?”  A man quickly answered, “Yeah we do, they were one of us.”  The boy appeared to be in thought. This wasn’t the only time when the Jaeger targeted one of us. “It would appear that the Jaeger is after any and all Hunters he comes across. My guess would be that he is uneducated as to the difference between us and The Exiles. That or he’s a part of the Demon Supremacists. However, they aren’t usually on the attack like this.” The boy looked down at the bodies as he breathed a deep sigh, “Well, we already know that those aren’t going to come out, we have to get the bodies and prepare for their departure.” There was a tinge of sadness in his eyes but he kept his head up, whatever this thing is, he’ll lead to Crow.
