Blank made his way out of the headquarters, fully aware of the stares from the other patrons but not acknowledging them. He kept walking until he was far from the headquarters. He placed a hand on the sheath that lay at his back on the beltline. He patted it, almost as if it were something special to him. His eyes looked down in thought. When I find him, I’ll make sure to kill him… He looked up at the woodland trees that surrounded him. He took a deep breath in and then out. His head became clear of thoughts and he felt more in control. He walked through the trees and out into the streets. His goal was to find any Strays and ensure they wouldn’t hurt people. Damn. Ever since Airi died, there hasn’t been anyone to wipe out the invading Strays. Hopefully, if I do run into a Stray, it’s the Jaeger. He’s killed enough as it is. Chapter 33 “Crow” talked to Airi. “If you see Zexal, can you tell him that I’m going out to look for Hunters?” Airi nodded, “Yeah, I’ll tell him.” Her eyes were filled with sorrow. She looked at him, her mouth closing and opening as if she were trying to say something. “Crow” took no notice and began walking to the door. Airi stared at his back, finally speaking the words her mind craved to speak. “Hey, Crow… Be careful out there. And make sure you come back!” “Is that an order, Lady?” “Crow” stopped in his tracks. “Yes,” Airi answered, “that is an order.” “Crow” nodded and opened the door, proceeding to walk out. He made his way to his motorcycle and started its engine. He revved up the engine a few times before setting out in search of Demon Hunters. He drove the motorcycle through the night, his path illuminated by the road lights and the moon. He only stopped when he saw a Stray. The Stray was tall, wearing all black, with fresh blood dripping from his chin. He had recently fed, his eyes were glowing a shade of red. His hunger felt like it could never be sated. His hunger had led him to the woods. He could smell that there were human beings around but was struggling with finding them. “Crow” got off the motorcycle and followed the Stray, hoping that it would lead him to Demon Hunters. “A Stray?! Here?! That’s a first!” A silver-haired boy around the age of Crow exclaimed. He pulled the knife out of the holster at his leg and held it in a backhand grip. “Looks like I’ve found my next target.” “Crow” spoke to himself before rushing into battle.
