Episode one: Sensing trouble
The day was just at its dusk and everywhere was quiet, only the sound of birds chirping in the woods could be heard. The sky had a glimpse of the fallen ray of sunshine which was round like a crescent moon, vividly showing what time of the day it was.
The room was also dark, and filled with incense smoke which popped out through the window as usual. The room had a dim light like there was no single being inside, it was just the perfect way Alpha Caesar wanted it. Just then, he walked out of the bathroom with his hair dripping wet as he moved over to the table with his hands crossed behind his back.
Caesar was a tall man with a heavenly body which had a little tattoo on his left hand, he had light brown hair, hazel eyes which held so much coldness, a sharp jaw line and pink lips.
He gave a quick glance at the portrait of his father on the wall, and he began to miss the old days. He was just a little boy when his father passed away. Taking in a deep breath, he walked closer to his round wooden table and sat on a stool close to it.
He picked up his ink and dragged out a clean sheet of paper. Alpha Caesar finds pleasure whenever he draws, and it was one of his hobbies people find amusing, though he was cold and harsh.
He began to draw when his father died, and that was the only way he could get his mind off some wild thought. Furthermore, he has been seen doing a lot of drawing lately, and that could only mean one thing: he was fazed about a particular thing.
He sat shirtless, his hard manly chest so visible and he ruffled his light brown hair and roamed his cold hazel eyes around the room before landing on his bed. A thought flowed inside his head, but it was interrupted by the slight knock on the door.
He acted dumb towards the first knock, not until the person gave another round. It was loud and clear this time around. With a growl in his voice, he spoke. “Come in.” He knew only two people had the guts to knock on his door like that. It was either his beta or Blanca-his s*x mate.
Beta-Harou walked into the room swiftly after he heard the response from him. “My king! A message from Lord Medusa!” he stated, and could see his countenance changing.
Alpha Caesar stopped whatever he was doing and turned to look at Harou, he stretched forth his hand towards him, and he rushed to pass the scroll to him.
He didn't utter a word to Harou as he sighed and sat properly on his seat. He slowly opened the scroll and his eyes flicked through it. Suddenly, he groaned and chucked the scroll at the other end of the room.
“My Lord! A. Are you okay?” Harou, who was shocked by his sudden reaction, asked while scanning him from head to toe.
“How dare he!” He yelled furiously and threw the ink container which was on the table, and it came splashing across the floor. Harou was afraid to utter a word, as he quietly watched his Alpha in rage.
“My Lord! Is there anything I can do for you? Please command me.” He said as he went down on his knees. Caesar stood up from his seat, his eyes looking bloody in rage as he stared at Harou before flicking them back to his wardrobe.
He walked past him to his wardrobe and picked out a black robe, he wore it on and began walking out of the room. He got to the door and stopped on his track, then turned around to face his beta. “Follow me!” He instructed, and he stood up and walked behind him.
“I need you to clean the mess inside,” Harou said to a guard who was standing by the door, and he nodded with a bow.
Caesar was far ahead with his hands crossed behind him and his heart pounding in rage. He felt like laying his hands on something, he wanted to destroy a particular thing and had no idea what it could be.
They walked silently and stopped at the witch-hybrid house called Athena. She is also a witch and a half werewolf with the ability to perform magic and reading dark past.
“You can leave, I will take it from here.” Caesar said to Harou, and he nodded, though he wasn't satisfied with leaving his Alpha alone, but Caesar was a man who could take care of himself without a sword. He was feared and respected by his people.
He walked inside the room without knocking on the door, an eerie smell welcomed him as the room was completely dark with just a little lantern on a table. He could hardly see a thing as he roamed his head around the room.
“I can sense it whenever you're troubled. What unsettling thought do you have to make you come by this time of the day?” She spoke, and it was then he noticed Athena seated on a chair.
She stood up and walked up to him. Her eyes were always scary to the people, but not to Caesar. Her eyes were two different colors, the left was gray, while the right was green. How strange!
“Medusa keeps getting on my nerves and it is time I ended his foolishness. How can he go against me? No one has dared to challenge me.” He stated, enraged.
"You know why I had to stop you, my king. Medusa is no longer the person you know, because the rumors are true. He uses black magic to control people's minds and make them weak. He knows he can't fight you with his mere strength." Athena added.
“Then, I want to be powerful, make me stronger than I am!” He voiced out, and she stopped to look beadily at him.
“Why? You are stronger already, far more powerful than all the Alphas I knew, but-"
“I am not asking for your opinion, it is an order from me, Athena.” His jaw clenched as he interrupted her, and she sighed.
“I see where the anger is coming from, but my king, it is not an easy task to carry out.” She said to him.
She moved her legs to a table where she kept different kinds of herbs there and began to pour a substance into a bowl.
“Are you saying there is no way I can be more powerful than the way I am?” He questioned, frustration washing through his voice, accompanied by anger.
“I have looked through the history books but found nothing, my king! I can only advise-” she was still talking when he butted.
“Is a yes or no answer?” He yelled while his voice echoed and his hand knotted into a fist.
She flinched a little and kept her mouth shut, she knew it was time she closed her mouth before a knife dive into her. Alpha Caesar groaned and turned around to leave the room when she stopped him.
“I found a way to make you powerful! A way you can be unstoppable, but it is something no one has ever achieved.” She voiced out and carried the bowl on the table.
His eyes turned soft with the news, and he became eager to know what it was. That particular thing that could make him powerful, stronger and brave beyond anyone's imagination.
“Go ahead Athena. What is it?” He asked anxiously, and his eyes were fixed on her without a blink.

The two maids followed Madam Kiki behind as they moved their legs to the kitchen. It was another bright morning, and everyone was busy as a bee.
“Did you notice the way Alpha Caesar left his room yesterday evening?” Leah whispered as she walked alongside Ama. Nothing Leah ever sees or notices that is left unsaid.
Ama looked behind them before putting her eyes on Leah. “You might get us into trouble, you need to stop saying these kinds of stuff while we are in the palace,” Ama said, and wiped her face with her hands.
Ama didn't utter a word as she wanted to avoid taking part in her discussion, she was giving her a deaf ear, but Leah was not buying it. “Yes! I overheard Harou talking about a letter from Lord Medusa. Who is he?” Leah asked curiously as she fluttered her eyelashes.
Ama had to stop on her track for a second. “Oh heavens!” She groaned and intertwined their hands before she spoke. “Lord Medusa is an enemy to our Alpha.”
“Huh! Why?” Leah asked curiously, she was always acting naive. Ama looked ahead of them and noticed Madam Kiki was far gone. She took a deep breath before clearing her throat a little.
“Our pack, which is known as the 'Moon Valley Pack', was once ruled by two Alphas who were best friends. Alpha Zane, who is Medusa's father, brought his family and the whole pack members and became one with Alpha Lonan-that's Caesar's father, so-” Ama was still talking when Leah interrupted.
“So you mean to say, the Moon Valley Pack was filled with a lot of people back then?” She asked with popped eyes and Ama nodded.
“So…well, at that same period, Caesar and Medusa were born; Caesar's father found a baby in the woods and brought him into the palace and that person was no one else but Lord Khan.” She whispered, and Leah seemed confused a little.
“Hold on Ama! Are you talking about the Lord Khan that usually visits our Alpha? That handsome man?” She questioned, and her mouth fell open.
“Yes, the same Lord Khan of the River Bed pack was once a member of the Moon Valley pack. He is like a brother to Caesar.” Ama added.
The entire thing seemed fascinating to Leah as she focused all her attention on what Ama was about to say.
“But why did they leave?” Leah inquired with a pout, as she could no longer hide the fact that she was curious and impatient.
“Well! A lot of things happened, bad stuff, actually. After the war with the rogues, which happened thirty years back, a lot of things changed.
“Wow! Are the three of them Alphas?” Leah questioned while scanning Ama's face.
“I don't think so, but I am certain about Medusa and Caesar being an alpha. I also heard Lord Khan is a beta.” Ama said slowly to Leah.
Leah was still processing the whole thing as she widened her eyes. “How did you know all that, huh?” She questioned and stared beadily at her.
“My grandpa; he witnessed the war and knows a lot about Alpha Lonan and Alpha Zane.” She added.
“Stop whispering and move your lazy ass here!” Madam Kiki yelled at the girls, and they stopped talking. They rushed and walked past her into the kitchen. The breakfast was already prepared by some maids in charge of the cooking for that day.
As an omega in the pack, their job is to perform duties in the palace and serve their Alpha. Madam Kiki picked up a golden tray and gave it to Ama. “Take it to your king, make sure you knock before stepping in.” She warned with a strict look.
“Yes Madam.” She replied before walking out of the kitchen with it.
She walked through the passage with careful steps along, immediately she got to the door, she heard a loud noise coming out of the king's room. And a thought ran across her mind.
“Is this even the right moment for her to knock on the door?” She thought aloud, suddenly she took a deep breath and knocked slightly on the door.
The noise died down and there was no response. She knocked again, only to hear the cold voice of Caesar coming from the room.
“Come in!” He said plainly, and she turned the handle of the door and pushed it. She stepped in, and her eyes welcomed the darkness inside. She could only see the broken vase on the floor, and her heart skipped for a moment.
“My king! I brought your breakfast.” She said with her heart pounding in her chest. The darkness was not something she was used to, and Alpha Caesar was a man who behaved like a mythical being sometimes.
“I am not hungry, take it back.” He voiced out in a rapt tone.
“But my Lord, you didn't eat anything last night and Madam Kiki suggested I bring it to you,” she added, a little afraid of the unseen.
“I said take it back!” He shrilled, and her body vibrated with fear. She turned around without a second thought and walked out of his room.
