The Great Exam Disaster – Part 5: College Chronicles – The Freshers’ Fiasco
Aman was officially a college student. He had survived school, board exams, grace marks, and parental lectures, but now he faced an even bigger challenge—college life.
He had imagined college would be all about freedom, fun, and no morning assemblies, but reality hit him like a flying chappal on his very first day.

Chapter 46: Welcome to the Jungle
Aman entered RIL College feeling like a king. He had a new backpack, new clothes, and a newfound confidence.
“Finally! No more strict school rules. No more uniform. No more Riya stealing my homework!”
But just as he stepped inside, he heard a loud voice:
"OYE FRESHER! IDHAR AA!"
Aman’s soul left his body.
He turned slowly to see three seniors standing there, smirking.
One had spiky hair and sunglasses indoors (clearly a Bollywood villain in training).
One had a Bluetooth earpiece, even though no one was talking to him.
The last one had a face that screamed "I failed twice and I’m proud of it."
Aman gulped. "H-h-haan bhaiya?"
Spiky Senior grinned. "Ragging ke rules pata hai?"
Aman shook his head like a scared kitten.
Bluetooth Senior said, "Tujhe hamari ek command pe naachna hoga."
The third one added, "Ya phir poori class ke saamne ek shayari sunani padegi."
Aman's brain: "Option 3: Run away? No? Okay."
Before Aman could decide, a loud voice interrupted.
"OYE! KYA KAR RAHE HO?"
A tall girl with fierce eyes, a no-nonsense attitude, and a ‘senior leader’ badge walked up.
"New students ka welcome karne ka yeh tareeka hai?" she snapped.
The seniors froze. Even Bluetooth Bhai removed his earpiece in fear.
"J-j-jaya di, hum toh bas mazaak kar rahe the," Spiky Senior stammered.
Jaya crossed her arms. "Mazaak apni behan ke saath karna. Freshers ko nahi."
Aman mentally saluted her.
The seniors ran away faster than Aman ran from math exams.
Jaya turned to Aman. "Naam kya hai?"
"Aman… Aman Kumar."
"Accha Aman, welcome to college. And don’t worry—freshers ki ragging band hai. Koi problem ho toh mujhe bata dena."
Aman nodded furiously. "Ji di! Aap Bajrangbali ki tarah aayein aur mujhe bacha liya!"
Jaya rolled her eyes and walked off.
Aman sighed in relief. "Shayari bolne se bacha gaya…"
But his relief was short-lived.
Because trouble was just getting started.

Chapter 47: The Professor of Doom
Aman walked into his first lecture—Economics.
He sat in the back row, thinking, "College hai, relax karenge. Class toh formality hai."
And then HE walked in.
Professor Verma.
Bald.
Round glasses.
Expression like he hated students more than slow internet.
The class fell completely silent.
Verma Sir glared at the students. "Attendance se shuru karte hain."
Aman relaxed. “Attendance toh easy hoti hai.”
"Roll number 17?"
"Present, sir!"
"Roll number 23?"
"Present, sir!"
"Roll number 52?" Silence.
Verma Sir frowned. "Roll number 52?"
Aman looked around. The seat was empty.
Verma Sir smirked. "Ek rule yaad rakhna. Jo student first class se absent hoga, uska naam final register se mita diya jayega."
Aman’s jaw dropped. "MATLAB??"
The whole class gasped.
The poor absent kid had just been cancelled from existence.
Aman instantly sat straight.
Rule #1 of college: Never mess with Verma Sir.

Chapter 48: Friends, Foes & The Mysterious Girl
During lunch, Aman looked around. College was full of new faces, and he needed to find friends fast.
That’s when he met them.
Rohit – The guy who could talk non-stop about cricket, even in his sleep.
Neha – The girl who knew everything about everyone (basically, Google in human form).
Sid – The guy who had never attended a full class but knew every shortcut to pass exams.
"Bro," Sid said, "college is all about chill, masti, and jugaad. Professors ka tension mat le."
"Except Verma Sir," Neha added. "Uska tension lena zaroori hai."
Aman nodded. “Okay, I’m in good company.”
But then, something weird happened.
As Aman was leaving the canteen, he saw a girl sitting alone under a tree, writing in a notebook.
She had headphones on, lost in thought.
Rohit nudged him. "Usse dekh raha hai? That’s Priya. Sabse mysterious ladki."
Neha nodded. "She’s super smart. And she doesn’t talk to anyone."
Sid added dramatically, "College ki Sherlock Holmes hai."
Aman was intrigued. "Kya scene hai iska?"
But before he could ask, the college bell rang, and chaos resumed.

Chapter 49: The First College Mishap
Later that day, Aman was heading to class when he heard a commotion near the staffroom.
A boy was begging for mercy while Verma Sir stood there, arms crossed.
"Sir, galti se assignment nahi likha!" the boy pleaded.
"Galti se?" Verma Sir raised an eyebrow. "Galti se toh tum class bhi miss karoge. Fir ‘galti se’ tumhara naam list se gayab ho jayega."
Aman gulped. "Yeh banda students ka career delete karne mein expert hai."
Just then, his phone vibrated.
A message from Riya:
"Bhai, kaunsa department hai? Bas confirm kar rahi hoon ki wahan bhi grace marks milte hain ya nahi."
Aman groaned. "Ye behan mera kabhi peecha nahi chhodne wali."

Chapter 50: The Beginning of Chaos
By the end of his first day, Aman had already:
1. Almost gotten ragged.
2. Barely survived Verma Sir’s wrath.
3. Made new friends (and a new enemy—attendance rules).
4. Gotten curious about the mysterious Priya.
As he left campus, he sighed. School life was nothing compared to this madness.
Little did he know, college was about to throw even bigger disasters his way.
And somewhere in the distance, his parrot Badshah probably screamed:
"AGLI BAAR BHI YEHI HOGA!"
