Derry’s POV
Midnight comes far too quickly. There’s a strange atmosphere in the community center. It’s a mix of excitement, hope, fear and nervous tension. It’s hard to believe that this is really it. If everything goes to plan tonight, then it will all be over. No more threat of the council coming for us. We can focus on rebuilding our lives, having our son home and making this pack the best pack there ever was. Of course, we will always be looking over our shoulders waiting for a new threat to come for us, but we will be ready. With the strongest pack, a pack that is loyal to us for the right reasons, not because we force them or threaten their families. We still have a new council to set up too, but I don’t even want to think of the logistics of all that right now, it’s too overwhelmin
